I have a LG HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4082N dvd drive on a fujitsu amilo L7320 laptop, my lappy caught a virus and i formatted it and re-installed windows XP, all the drivers seem to have been installed for the drive but the computer refuses to acknowledge that its a dvd-rw, it can read cd's and dvd's but wont copy or burn.
Someone please help, i'm pulling my hair out!!! lol

- my hl dt st dvd rw gwa 4082n only recognizes audio cd's. wont read dvd dvdr cdr or even blank cd's. i recently reinstalled windows xp after a bad virus and updated all drivers and cant get the dvd rom to recognize everything it is supposed too i need help aaahhhhhh aaaaahhhhh no good- ryan_dawg1Solution #1

this is common prombelm with xp after you reinstall a new os you mite try unistalling it and reinstalling the www.slysoft.com or
