Re: double blue image
Good Day; Symptom: Blue convergence off, bowed inward at the top and bottom with No blue vert movement. Cause: Replace IK05 (STK392-110) and RK54 (2.2/1W) and converge. Buy KIT10 at 1-800-458-6053 or locally. The KIT has all the parts an info that you will need. Good Luck, big IRISH. PS the kit includes updated parts.

Does this problem happen all the time ? What I mean is , if your watching the local news thru your cable/sat box does ot happen, or just when using aux imput. Either way, double image, or shadowing, is usually caused by a defective wire. Troubleshoot each unit, unplug everything and start from scratch.

convergence issues. i see this alot at the shop. i first suggest you read the article i wrote on the fl231 problem in my profile under tips and tricks. this might be a simple inexpensive repair. if this dont apply or help let me know and i see what i can do
Yes, one of your convergence IC's have gone bad. They are located on the convergence board inside the tv and there are two of them. They are inexpensive and easy to replace if you know how to solder. Watch out for the JVC booby trap sensor on the dvi input card. Don't run the tv with the back panel off unless you have disconnected the DVI card from the main board. I would even cover the little sensor with black electrical tape. Then it is safe to work on the tv when it's open and on. Well safe for those who know what they are doing.
Well, fortunately the television that you purchased has an auto-convergence feature. What is happenning is that your color lamps are misaligned, did it get moved at all recently?
Anyway, in your menu you should see a "Convergence" menu, and inside that menu, a section called "Perfect Focus". Run Perfect Focus in this sequence: Green --> Red --> Blue
After that your picture should look great, if not try tinkering with the manual adjustments on the "Convergence" menu. Here are some URLs that you might find helpful: (just copy+paste into your browser)

Your Television's User Manual (Download And Open With Adobe PDF Reader) (The "Convergence" Menu Is Section 3.3)
The Samsung has bad convergence IC's most likly. This should be repair ONLY by a trained technician as a TV set is not a place to experiment or tinker with because of the extremly high voltage inside. This repair should cost you in the range of 250 to 400 bucks . Good Luck
