How long have you owned the unit and how much use has it gotten? It sounds like it may be defective. Once I have more information I can give your best options moving forward.
thank you,
Lee
well given its age and use I would consider just replacing it given its only about 50$, these things are basically considered "throw away" items these days.
thank you,
Lee
Come on guys! The above is not a FixYa solution! I don't have a solution, but guessing that "It sounds like it may be defective" is worth precisely zero!
I had the same problem as the original poster, and followed the "set to brew and press and hold all three buttons routine suggested as a solution to a slightly different problem posted here on FixYa, and some how I got it to work again. So it is a programing or switch position problem of some sort.

Usually answered in minutes!
In use daily for about 5 years.
I was looking for a cheap repair, silly me.
These are sold for $70-80, and I'll get a new one.
