Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9 Digital Camera

Record Mode - MultiBurst

I accidentally had the camera set in Record Mode - MultiBurst. Now when I download the pics to the computer I see 16 images. Is there any way to reformat the pictures back to normal?

I have exactly the same problem, and only today when I
took my camera in to where it was purchased did I become
aware of the MultiBurst setting since the Instruction Manuel
    says very little about it.

I'm hoping to be able to turn the many tiny frames into one
norma image. Please let me know when and how this is
    possible.

    Thanks,

    Joan Fiset

I thought maybe that the CD that came with the camera might have something but, no luck yet. On another website, there were some tips on using Photo-editor to make this work. what a pain! Some people are using a java program that they had to write themselves.

I will try to remember to never use this function again.

So you get 16 pictures of the same picture? Take the camera off MultiBurst next time and you won't get 16 of them.. just one.

Or are you asking if you can take 16 pictures and somehow combine them into one hybrid super-huge image?

In any case, the picture that is saved to the card is the picture you get. It cannot be undone.

Just perform Initialize action in camera menu, camera will go to default settings and no more multi burst.

Can multiburst be converted to single image

A multiburst is stored as a single picture comprised of sixteen one-megapixel frames. The camera gives you no way to separate the frames, but you can use just about any photo editing program on a computer to crop out the other fifteen frames. However, the result will still be only one megapixel, suitable for email or use on the web but not for making large prints.

No matter what picture setting is selected the camera, Sony DSC-W50, it will only take video. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks

I think mode selector dial is not working in your DSC-W50 that is why camera is set on video mode.
Replace mode selector dial as mentioned in below image, part number is...

1-479-584-11 CONTROL SW BLOCK (SW110T) (for SILVER color)
1-479-584-21 CONTROL SW BLOCK (SW120TB) (for BLACK color)

Available in Part Store.
Thanks.

It sounds like you might be accidentally in Manual mode (little red camera with M by it).

Make sure the mode dial in the upper left corner is set to "Automatic" (select the little red camera "without" the M by it).

How do you know it is not your camera's display screen. Download pics to computer to verify. If you do not have a computer, take mem card to a retail photo Kiosk or counter; walmart, drugstores, etc.

If they are still white after reading card, and a pick file exists, then it is probably the Record Mode, pic taking mode, of the camera that is defective, of some setting out of whack.

Try removing the cam battery and reinstall after a 10 sec waiting time. This will reset the camera and put setting back to DEFAULT mfg settings.

It sounds like you have the Mode switch set to the Movie position instead of the Record position. The Mode switch should be set as show on the following image:

What is the Macro function used for? The Macro function allows you to take close-up pictures. Use the Macro mode when you are 8.4” to 19.2” away from your subject. Where is the Reference Manual for the D-390? The Reference Manual is located on the Camedia Master CD-ROM and is available in four languages (English, French, Spanish, and German. The manual can be viewed on your computer screen or printed on your printer. How can I get traditional photo prints from my digital camera? Most photo processing centers or digital printing Kiosks can make traditional photo prints from a digital camera. There are also many on-line photo processors which conveniently deliver prints by mail. You can also make prints yourself if you have a photo quality printer like the Olympus P-400 printer. Why are there so many quality settings? Different quality settings are used for different purposes; for example, lower quality settings can be used to e-mail pictures because of its small file size. Higher quality settings are used for printing photo quality images. What settings should I use to get the best picture quality? The best picture quality setting on the D-390 is SHQ (Super High Quality). The SHQ file is the largest of all four quality settings. The image file size is approximately 786K. What is the video output used for? The video output is used for viewing images from your camera to a TV. A slideshow can be accomplished by using the camera hooked to the TV or recorded from a VCR. When taking macro images, can I use the viewfinder? Since the viewfinder sees the subject different than the picture taking lens, we recommend using the LCD monitor screen for taking macro pictures. The image previewed on the LCD monitor will be the exact image that is taken. How do I make a Panorama picture? You can easily make panorama pictures with your D-390 by “stitching” together multiple pictures. First, activate the panorama mode on the camera by selecting Mode Menu - Camera - Panorama. Take your pictures while making sure to overlap the edges of the images. Download your pictures to a computer and then use the “Panorama” function in Camedia Master to stitch them together. For more detailed information, please refer to the camera documentation. What is movie mode function? The movie mode function allows you to record short movie clips. The recorded movies can be played back or stored as still images using the cameras index function. Please note that the D-390 does not record sound in the movie mode. Can I add sound to a movie made with my D-390? The D-390 does not record sound in the movie mode. What is the best way to e-mail images? E-mailing pictures that were taken with your camera is as easy as attaching a file to your message.
