My hpone got left outside and it rained, the sound worked but the screen was very wet on the inside. A friends reccomended that I put the phone in a bowl of rice because it will absorb the water, sure enough, it did! Now the phone will turn on, but once it gets to my regular screen it turns white and says "downloading telus now" it stays like that for awhile and then just shuts off. I would love to know if it is possible to fix this! thanks!

Can be that your heater core or hose inside car is sometimes releasing alittle heat at the clamps. So long the inside of the floor is not wet or damp or car is not over heating. I would not worry about the heater to much inside unless this does not work... Change the automatic climate control up or down to cooler or warmer i usually run it at least upto 10 or 20 degrees different than the outside anytime i drive mainly during rain or snow.. So if outside it is warmer means you need to be cooler and cooler means get warmer. Also If you don"t run that on a regular basis a quick Ac on and defroster front and back works well and generally fast.I really think that is all of your problem just get comfortable with your automatic climate setting. once in a while it may happen again only because of rapid temp. changing from outside air to inside air in your car..Rain X works really well for a couple weeks between apps.and saves wiperblades during raining times. Always drive safely and good luck
There is a great possibilty that there is a leak on the Left Side of the Windshield. It is most likely in the area of the upper left side.
The reason for this conclusion is:
The rain water is coming in the Left Upper Side; and either coming down the "A" Pillar, or traveling underneath the trim on the inside roof and coming down the "B" Pillar.
The only other explanantion is a torn, worn, cracked or dislocated Weather Seal on one or both of the doors, allowing rain water to come in. Inspect very carefully these Weather Seals, especially on the top front portion of the rear door.
To help you locate these after a hard rain:
Take the trim panels off the "A: and "B" Pillars and the Roof Line above both Doors. Check for wetness underneath the trim. Or take these trim panels off, and place folded paper towels under the trim panels; reattach the trim panels and wait until it rains. Afterwhich, take these trim panel off and check the paper towels for wetness.
The Windshield Seal is easily inspected for cracks and tears.

Most of the problems come when its raining and if its not being driven and water still comes in then its the bonnet rubber and if when its being driven then its due to the rear wheel throughing up water under wheelarch and somewhere theres a crack in the weld or somewhere and it will find its way in..
So if not using it clean it out and when rain stops look inside no rain no leak Have a goodday
try taking the battery cover off and removing the battery, placing all of the items, including any games that was in the console when you left it outside, in a facecoth or light teatowel, Put all the items inside a airing cupboard, or on top of a radiator, for a couple of weeks, to see if you can dry it out.
Do not put the unit dirtectly on top of a radiator. you must place it inside a teatowel or a facecloth. this worked for me but cannot say it will work for yours.
