No sound on my computer

Check if the speaker is in mute. If unmute and still has no sound, unintall and reinstall the audio driver. Go to start; type device manager in the search box; in the device manager expand the sound, video and game controller and uninstall the audio driver located there. To reinstall, restart the NB, the driver will be reinstalled automatically. Also you may try connecting a headset, if it has sound when headphone is connected then the problem is the speaker.

Hope this help.

My computer can't play no sound I went to sound

Hi,

When did sound work fine on your computer. Try this :-
Open device manager(Start - run - type devmgmt.msc) and expand sound video and game controllers.
Right click all the submenu underneath and choose uninstall.

(Note : All the menus will not give you an option to uninstall, dont worry)
Uninstall those which gives an option followed by restart your PC and see if it works.
If it doesnt, click start - run - type services.msc and look for windows audio service - make sure ot is automatic and started, if not make it.

Let me know the status.Awaiting response.

Thanks.

My adio wont work, its not on mute, i tryed unintalling it, i tryed downloading loads of new sound things but nothings worked

if its onboard sound its possible that it could have been disabled in the bios, seen this a few times where someone had a sound card in previous, press f2 when the pc starts up and check to see if you can find the onboard sound option, if not you might need to buy a cheap sound card

No sound

You must have wrong sound driver
download PCwizard and install this program will check motherboard for all your driver and list them sound driver will probably be in differnet section than main drivers note name and number of driver
EG cmedia 23415 write down and search for them on the net
cmediia 23415 drivers when found download correct drivers for your O/S.
to uninstall old driver first
go to start/control panel/system/hardware/device manager/
right click on all sound drivers go to properties and uninstall driver reboot you must do this before installing new driver

Audio sound your problem

The fist thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling winamp. (Add/remove programs, select winamp and click unintall) That will most likely fix it. Othewise http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1617490#post1617490 says
" 1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for preferences)
2. Plug-ins > Output
3. double click 'DirectSound output'
4. Driver tab
5. make sure the device in the drop-down list correctly reflects your soundcard

-and/or-

1. Control Panel
2. Sounds & Audio Devices icon (or MultiMedia Icon)
3. Audio tab
4. in 'Sound playback' make sure the 'Default device:' drop-down box correctly reflects your soundcard"

Windows closing slow means you have a bunch of program that are running in the back ground. Windows has to close each before the system can shut down. To see just what is running in the back ground. Allow windows to completly finish opening. Click the start button, click run. In the window type, msconfig & click ok. System Configuration Utility window will open. Click on the Startup tab. Now you can see just what programs are running in the back ground.
Adding memory can also help speed up a slow pc & keeping the system clean by using the two programs listed next.
First. Run disk cleanup, a windows program found in system tools. Than run Defrag also found in system tools. Restart the pc when finished. This should help your system to run a bit better.
If you have the CD that came with the sound card uninstall the software through Add/ Remove programs found in the control panel. Restart the pc. Reinstall the drivers from the CD & try opening a few programs. Open & run the program your using to play music. Any better? If not try using another music program like iTunes a free download found here. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
You can also try the drivers from creative they may be newer than your CD here: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/welcome.asp?action=next
Enjoy!

I don't know if you manually erase those drivers, but I recommend you reinstall the drivers with the setup option, then uninstall them, again reinstall them ans see if work, or depending the OS if is Xp or Vista, ?
