Kenmore elite gas dryer won't heat.I tested thermal fuse, high limit thermostat, thermistor and gas valve. All within spec or have continuity.

Hello Chuck,
In addation to what you have checked here is a list of what else to check

Flame switch...black box on burner tube...check for continuty

Ignitor...check for 120 vac too it

Timer/control board heat relay..on models w/timer check for contunity in heat circuit on timer. ON models w/control check that heat relay on board is closing and has continuty

Motor switch..check that heat circuit is closed and has continuty when motor is running and motor switch has closed for heat circuit(the start winding switch on motor will be open when running)

WARNING..WHEN PLUGGED IN FLAME SWITCH WILL BE LIVE ALL THE TIME AND SHOCK YOU WHEN TOUCHING..BE SURE TO DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE CHECKING

Kenmore king size capacity 90 series

could be thermal overload in motor its a motor protector in the motor when the motor gets hot it cuts power to the motor when motor cools it closes and resets age of drier counts some times you can take drier apart and blow dust out of motor and will fix now if the door is not closing tight vibration can cause door switch to break contact that will do it too most of time motor or relay must be replaced

Kenmore 500 series gas dryer has no heat and no glow. Thermostat fuse has continuity. Replaced ignitor and coils. bypassed flame sensor and still have the same problem.

Hello,

Having checked or replaced what you have thus far here a few things still to check

Cycling thermostat in blower housing,in addition to thermal fuse it must have continuty to be good

Timer check wiring diagram in control panel and check for continuty that are supposed to be closed when set to a normal heat cycle

Motor switch heat circuit check again with wiring diagram and see which wires on motor switch must be closed when running so dryer will heat. This a built curcuit asurring the dryer will never heat when motor is off

If your model has it check heat relay in control panel for continuty on heating circuit for relay(not the circuit that closes relay)

as far as power to the ignitor the hot side comes from timer to and through the thermal fuse and cycling t-stat, to ignitor.the neutral comes from neutral wire on cord to and through motor when motor is running and motor switch is closed

so on ignotor plug check hot wire to ground(not neutral) if has 120 vac to it timer/t. fuse/ cycling t-stat and flame switch are all good and its the motor switch is the problem. The motor switch can not replaced seperatly and must replace entire motor

Heavy duty super capacity plus Kenmore 80 series Electric drier the timer is running, but when I push the start button - nothing

the drum belt may be broken. you will have to check this, it goes around the drum and the pulley on the motor. you could also have a bad motor.

Kenmore dryer shuts off after five minutes

The vent box inside the dryer still has lint in it. You need to reach way inside to get at it. Turn power off.

When the start button is pressed and held down the dryer will run but when the button is not being held dowm the dryer cuts off. What could that be? It is a Kenmore 90 Plus Series Even Heat Dryer

i would say that it is in the "lockup" circuit in your motor. there is a centifugal switch which moves when it senses RPM of the motor which then in turn closes a set of contacts within the motor housing, thus locking the run contacts to keep your motor running. odds are that the switch, (which moves along the motor shaft) is dry or blocked by debris (lint) that gets caught in the motor housing.
a good cleaning and then a shot of lube on the shaft usuallly solves this problem....
good luck; jay
