i know of this place in falls church virginia that specalizes in small applices such as pressure cookers, toasters, mixers ...ectwhile i dont know it they havea website you could search and see if they do the name of the shop is/ APPLIANCE FIX IT/ and they are located in baileys crossroads/falls church VA

I bought a refubished pressure cooker there is something funny the presure release device sits to loosely on top I wonder if its broke? Or where can I get a new pressure release device to replace this...
It should rattle if it is a pressure cooker This item will be round and should have a hole
in it. steam will escape from this hole as its cooking and it will rattle. It is a weight.

If it is a pressure canner it will have two items,
a pressure relief and a pressure gauge. Many had wing nuts which held the
lid in place such as mine has.

Wikipedia has a nice treatise on pressure canners as a reference.
