Re: What does the fEE error message displayed on an SLR...

The "fEE" error indicates that the camera is not communicating with the lens. The lens may not be attached to the camera properly, or if it has an aperture ring, it may not be set to f22 (or the highest aperture number of the lens) - which is normally marked in orange. Select this aperture and lock it using the aperture locking switch to prevent this from occuring again. The fEE error message Set to f22, or the highest aperture number - normally marked in orange. Note the locking switch.

Fee error message in monitor screen flickering, will not allow pics to be taken

My D70s gives error FEE on aperture display, when a lens is mounted with manual aperture ring. This ring should be locked on smallest aperture.
The body closes the aperture just before taking a photo, but a manual (mechanical) setting could avoid that. You can choose the aperture with the front wheel on the body.

Fee message

You're using a lens with an aperture ring on it, aren't you?

Turn the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number) and lock it in place if it has a lock. You can control the aperture from the camera body the same way as on a lens without an aperture ring.

Error code eFF

This normally indicates that you're using a lens with an aperture ring, and the ring is not locked in position. Turn the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number) and lock it if the lens has a lock. Control the aperture from the body, just as with a lens without an aperture ring.

If the lens doesn't have an aperture ring, could you reply to this post and specify what lens you do have on the D100?

There is an error code FE E which will not allow pics to be taken. It shows up when the camera is turned on and when look thru the view finder, it also shows in the bottom.

I purcahsed a new canon SLR 7D and have an error message on the LCD screen E30. instructions says to remove battery pack or turn off the camera but it seems its not working at all. i have tried so many...

According to Canon's Knowledge Base here, this error means that there is a problem with the shutter. It appears that the camera needs service. If you just purchased the camera, it should be covered by warranty.

Unable to take photo

I assume this is on a Nikon SLR, not a Fujifilm compact.

Turn the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number). Control the aperture from the camera body, the same way as on a lens without an aperture ring.

I strongly recommend you use a memory card reader to solve this problem.

The cause is likely a bad USB cable, USB port on the Camera, or low battery.

A USB memory card reader will work around any of those causes.
