Is there a process known to man that cleans windex streaks off an lcd screen?

How to Clean an LCD Screen
So, first of all, let's decide what we don't use to clean it:
Anything containing bleach or ammonia, such as Windex. That will react with the plastic and make the plastic screen become cloudy and discolored.
Anything sharp, pointy or abrasive.
Your easiest choice is one of those LCD cleaning solutions they sell in places where they sell computers. But they're expensive, and why bother when you can make your own solution for next to nothing?

What you'll need:
Distilled water (available at your supermarket; tap water leaves streaks and minerals).
White vinegar (you may substitute isopropyl alcohol; either way, make sure these substances are diluted before they come near your screen).
A clean, soft cloth (never use any kind of paper product).
A spray bottle.

Directions:
In the spray bottle, mix the distilled water and alcohol/vinegar, in a 1:1 ratio.
Turn off the LCD display.
Spray the mixture onto the cloth, never directly onto the screen.
Wipe gently - oh, so gently - from top to bottom. Do it horizontally, too, if you think that leaves a cleaner result.
Let the screen dry before turning it back on.

Hands Off!
Fingers leave dirt and oil smudges that must be cleaned off. Also, every time you touch the screen you risk doing damage to those tiny creatures inside that hold the colored flashlights. Keep your fingers to yourself.

Spot free car windows

Have you ever washed your car and let it dry in the sun? Ever notice the spots left behind on your windows and outside mirrors? Well, I have. After years of looking at "dirty" windows after washing, I have found a way to keep the spots from forming. After I wash the car, I simply take a cotton towel and slowly wipe the windows down, allowing the towel to soak up as much water as possible. Once I have finished drying the windows, I simply take a micro fiber towel and wipe the glass down. Plus, about once a month, I clean the exterior glass with Windex and wipe down with my micro fiber towel and "buff" the glass to a shine. Each time I wash my car, I no longer have to worry about "dirty" clean windows again.

I have several large water spots on the lower right corner of the tv from overspray with windex. Can this be fixed?

Not a good idea to clean tv with windex. Try wet towel dipped in mild soap solution. Make sure all water has been removed and towel is only wet. When tv off, try removing the spots. Turn tv on only after tv dry.

How do i clean my screen

Have to take back cover off to access screws to the front panel to get front panel off. Do not use Windex to clean. Just soap and water.

Kid splashed some pop on the screen. windex seems to leave a haze left on the screen that you can't rub off. what to use to clean the screen?

use monster screen cleaner. available at many retail outlets. about 10 dollars. will clean and does not leave film behind. works great on all tvs, glasses and phones.

Hard crusties? what do you do to have this type of matter on the screen?

Be carful with what you use on the screen, a damp cloth is permissable. This does not mean spraying liquid directly on the screen and wiping it

Spray into the cloth or dampen cloth and wring out well. Do not let any excess water drip down the screen especially if it gets into the TV via the outer frame around the screen.otherwise poof it will never work again

DARK SPOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Well depends on wether you what liquid you cleaned it with, because you are supposed to use the actual screen cleaner, if you use windex it takes off the finish on the TV and that may be what caused the dark spots. If not so I really do not recommed doing it yourself, it may just cause more problems, depending on when you bought the TV I recommed getting a TV repair man out there.

Computer monitor needs cleaning

Use window cleaner, like Windex. Spray it on a towel, preferably a soft cloth one, and wipe the screen down when it's off. Try not to press too hard in any one spot, either :).

Please Help with color & screen Cleaning

You are going to have to adjust the three screens in the front of the set behind the speaker cover. You will need to adjust the Red, Green, and the Blue all to look like a B & W picture so turn down the color or put in a B & W movie from a DVD or VCR. Then adjust each screen till you get the best blend and a good grey scale. Grey scale is the best B & W you can get on the TV set. The screen has two surfaces on it. The outside part goes up and down and is called the lenticular screen, and the inside part has round circular pattern too it and is called the freznel lens. The circular screen and the outside screen can be cleaned with a car polish cloth called a Shammey. Use deluted windex and only wipe the rag in the direction of the screen, eather up or down or circular. Good Luck
