Re: dell all in one 926 printer
Its a very important part of the printer .that band is called the bar encodder strip.if its broken from its ends it is to be replaced or if just moved out of the printer but looks proper then you have to open the printer and refit it.there is a space for thet strip behind the back of the cartridge carriage from where it should pass while you fit it again.

If you use CISS system. The problem may occur CIS. To solve these follow this proces: 1. put out cartrige from cartrige carrier 2. put a plastic seringe into the hole of the cartrige and try to out the ink from inside the cartrige ( mainly magenta or yellow) 3. Then run a head clean. If result is No Try these: 1. Put off cartrige from cartrige Carrier 2. find out 4/6 stick inside the carrer 3. put a plastic seringe one after and push air on it. 4. After that take a seringe with ink and push it gentally into the stick. I think you will be rid from your problem. Thank you.
The ink your purchased is likely a cheap watered down version of what your printer is meant to take. You may notice that the ink smears when you rub the page directly after printing. Why you chose to use the blue and red ink to make black blows my mind. These refill kits are insanely cheap and buying the black could not have been much more. Not using black ink in the black cartridge would explain why your print is faded. Also, there is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. As long as the printer still prints, just ignore the ink level indicator and print until the ink runs dry. I recommend Cartridge World for ink refills because they use high quality ink to manufacturer specified volumes while still saving you money.
