Right Click the drive and choose "Disconnect"
Use the "My Network Places" to find the share to be mapped (that was removed above)
Right click the shared item and choose "Map Network Drive..."
Choose a drive letter from the pop-up list, remember to leave at least one free letter after the last physical drive

When a mass-storage class (MSC) Coolpix camera (Coolpix 775, 885, 995, 2000, 2500, 5000, 5700, D100) is connected to a Windows XP system the camera does not appear as a mounted drive if there are no free drive letters between physical drives and mapped networked drives. Remapping the first network drive and leaving a free drive letter solves this issue. For example:
If the Floppy Drive is drive ?A? the internal Hard Disk is ?C? the CD-ROM is ?D? and the mapped network drive is ?E? the Coolpix camera will not mount. If the mapped network drive is moved to ?H? the Coolpix will mount properly as drive ?E?.
To change the drive letter mapping:
Find the mapped network drive in the "My Computer"
Right Click the drive and choose "Disconnect"
Use the "My Network Places" to find the share to be mapped (that was removed above)
Right click the shared item and choose "Map Network Drive..."
Choose a drive letter from the pop-up list, remember to leave at least one free letter after the last physical drive
Click "Finish" the share will now be mapped to the new drive letter and the camera should mount
As long as there is a free drive letter between the last physical drive and the first network drive the actual letters do not matter. For instance if there were more than one hard drive (or DVD, CD-R, etc).
This issue has only been documented with Windows XP and MSC class cameras, cameras capabale of using PTP USB mode should be set to PTP to avoid this issue.
