Hi,

You can get it here from Magellan's site. You need to use your profile to access it (I am assuming that you created a profile in the past).

How I can transfer my files from a Acterna 5100E OTDR to my laptop? It only has a standard internal flash drive and 9 pin output. I have the original software.

This devices interface is extremely old technology the 9 pin connector is most likely a rs232 serial interface . If your laptop has a 9 pin rs232 interface you may need a DTE to DCE adapter .
if you do not have this old rs232 port on your laptop I think this device a usb to null modem rs232 DB9 Serial DCS Adapter Cable with FTDI.

from my reading of the manual a null modem may be needed

What is a serial port and where is it on the p67 mb

a serial port is a 9 pin (DB-9) connector for serial communication (RS232) used by modems, mouse, etc... In older machines you had a DB-25 (25 pin connector) as well usually situated in the back of the computer near the printer port (DB-25 connector) but femail (25 holes insdead of 25 pins)

Hope this helps!

To connect gps to computer wich pins do i connect of nmea cable?

pins 2(-) and 5(+) on a 9 pin serial cable, then you need a usb to serial adapter for input into the computer if you do not have a built in 9 pin serial port on you computer because the usb moves the information faster than the gps signal. gps is roughly 4800 baud, usb is moving so much faster you need a buffer

Reciever will not power up

The same thing happened to me. It turns out the USB to serial adapter had issues. Anyway to fix try this. Hold the NAV + Menu and press the power button. Your Sportrak should start up in software upload mode. You can then use the Magup program in expert mode to bring your GPS to life. I had to find a computer with a serial port to fix mine.

Sportrak color pc connection problems

It could be the setting on your gps or the cable could go bad. (Mine did) To test the cable - Instructions from Magellan FAQS - With PC data cable still connected to the unit power ON the unit and press both the ?Power? and ?Zoom Out? buttons at the same time and hold them down for two seconds. The following message appears: ?Test Serial Port Press Enter?. Do not press the ?Enter? button yet. Next, use the paper clip or jumper wire and insert the ends to Pin #2and #3. Pin #2 is the NMEA Positive (TX+) Transmitter; #Pin 3 is the DBR Positive (RX+) Receiver. While performing the cable test you will see a series of check points in each individual Baud Rate point. 1200, 4800, 9600, and 19200. Each point should display the message ?OK?at the bottom. If the user sees the initials ?NG? (NO GOOD) perform the test again. If the test continues to display the message ?NG? the problem may be due to a bad cable. When the cable test is finished press the ?Power Key? to power off the unit.
