Question about Tissot T-Touch T33759851

1 Answer

T-Touch just stops and goes blank, then will restart without notice

I have a T-Touch Titanium that has been sent in to the factory 4 times in a year but the same problem keeps showing up.

The watch will be running without any issues, then I'll look down and the watch will have stopped running. The screen is completely blank.

If I leave the watch alone, usually it will start running again and I'll have to reset the time. A few times, I've been looking at the watch when it shuts down and the screen will be going crazy and flashing...then it goes dead.

Any idea on what is doing on...do I have a lemon or is this common. Seems surprising to have issues with such an expensive watch.

Exact same problem after about 2 years. It stopped working (no functions, no time).

Hello, I am from Greece and own a Tissot T-touch titanium. I just received it back from Tissot's service, I sent it for a battery change and a compass calibration, as it did not work well. As it was...

Its a good watch and good company, I would send an email to Tissot head office customer service. Praise the brand but insist you are not happy with the local service, having already had a failed repair. Hopefully they will accept it back for repair or replacement.

Date problem in Citizen Eco drive JR3080

My watch is experiencing the same problem. I just found out the following on Citizen's website:
"The factory has discovered a software anomaly in the calendar programming of the integrated circuit that affects some Skyhawk AT and other styles utilizing the U600 movement caliber produced in only 2007 for those watches receiving either the U.S. or Japanese time signals. Those customers receiving the German time signals or have pieces manufactured in other years are not affected. This anomaly results in the calendar displaying dates from 2016 even though the year is 2010."
It goes on to say that the watch needs to be sent in for a software update. Below is a link to the FAQ topic:

Tissot wristwatch model PR 516 GL

I guess you never overhauled your watch.Every mechanism has it's limits - so does the watch movements. Your watch has ETA Swiss made mechanical movement which is very good and reliable, but you have to take care of it from time to time. Mechanical movements are designed to last almost forever if they are looked after and yours isn't an exception. Bring it down to the local watchmaker and ask to overhaul it. It will run as new again and will not let you down. It is recommended to overhaul mechanical watches every 4-6 years. If this will be done, your watch will happily tick-tock on your grand-grand-grand-grand-grand-grand children's wrist and they will remember you with a few good words and respect.

Rolex watch stops only when I wear it

Kristy,
Stress won't affect your watch's timekeeping ability, but position will. When you lay the watch down at night, in which position is it? Also, during the day, is your arm in a static position for long periods of time? A Rolex chronometer (like the Datejust) should run approx. 36 hours after being fully wound -- without any movement. If the watch stops dead, then there is a problem with the movement and/or rotor. If it losses time, I'd bet on a static position problem. Let me know the answers to those questions and I'll try to help you get to the bottom of the problem.

Tissot issue

I have a similar problem which started this morning. My watch is almost 5 years old, and is on it's original battery. I suspect this is the first sign of the battery dying.
