sounds like possible magnatron or diode thats the case its not worth repairing. but if your handy then google model nuber and get the part be extreamly careful because of the power capacitor holds extream volts. turn off and allow to sit 15min before working on
okay thats sounds like you have to take your microwave to a repair man.the HV capacitor can be open or the magnetron is bad these 2 components i mention are responsible for the heating of your microwave if they go bad..then your microwave wont heat.good luck.
If I read the title it say PROBLEM WITH THE MICROWAVE, on the other hand when I Google the Rival 4.5L it is a deep fryer?!?!?, now if you'r talking about a Microwave oven there is NO heating element, what produces the heat is called a MAGNETRON... it can be replaced but it's cheaper to buy a new oven. Now if you'r talking about a deep fryer, you are correct there is an element inside the unit but as for it's replacement you need to check if it is servicable, some models are riveted meaning you can not disasemble it without braking the rivets... if you finally get it appart check the element for a part number if it has one than it's just a matter of calling a near by applayance store and order it (it would be even better to show the element to the clirk) than again the element could cost as mutch as a new fryer...
I have the same model, after 2 days of normal operation it has stopped working. No lights on the dislay at all and the keypad is unresponsive. If you open the door the light comes on and the turntable slowly rotates. Im taking it back.
If the lead and the plug are ok and the panel lights up, do not attempt any further repairs of inspection. A microwave is an extremely dangerous appliance and should only be serviced by qualified persons.
