If it is an infrared remote control like a TV remote, then you just take the batteries out.

These came out of a wurlitzer juke box (unsure of what kind) but I have four of them. Can these be used for a vehicle as subs? Or strictly as extra speakers for treble?

If they are 8" or bigger, they should be fine. To use as sub woofers, you will need a power amp and a crossover unit to send the bass notes to those speakers, otherwise they become a full range speaker..

How do you lubricate a Seeburg Select-O-Matic juke box?

I like to use liquid bearings. the bottle comes with a long needle so it reaches easily to the areas, and you can get the lube exactly where you need it. Any thin machine oil is fine. Seeburg used to make sewing machines so sewing machine oil work great. Here is a mech chart.

OK This chart will be useless because it appears to be way too small.
If you email me with your model I can send you a PDF for the model you have.

50's & 60's Seeburg's may require credit & stepper unit lubrication also.

If it's pulling the same record in and out repeatedly or is just doing the sit and spin thing, you will have to use WD-40 to wash out all of the old grease and it may have to be partial disassembled in order to move and clean parts that are gummed up, by hand.

Can't get the ipod to play through my Wurlitzer juke box although the attachment has been set up

Try putting another audio source into the BGM, the device inside the jukebox which switches it between the jukebox CD player and the IPOD. If you now have sound, check the IPOD docking station and cables. If you still have no sound, turn the delay time to minimum and try raising the level controls on the BGM unit. If you need further help, please email me, Rod Stebelton,

Wailing sound when 1971 seeburg juke box is started

I amnot very familiar with Seeburgs but the trip switch activates at the end of the record playing and THAT mutes the amp. The amp should also be muted until the tone arm lands on the record. So I would suggest the problem is in the amp.

Arrange the volume of your jukebox without using the remote

In earlier models you plugged either the remote box OR the volume control box into the same socket on the amp. If you still have the volume control box simply plug it in where the remote is plugged in.

Volume will just blast real loud

If you have a remote control , unplug the lead from the volume control (at the back of the machine) and instead of it plugging into the Inrfa Red control unit in the base of the cabinet, plug it straight into the amp volume input.
There has been problems with the remote that does what you are suggesting so this will prove the point.

Remote use ofr power off/on

The On/Off switch on a One More Time CD remote unit doesn't actually turn the jukebox on and off. Strange but true! You're not missing anything, honestly. I think the button was/is related to switching on an external background music through the jukebox but only if you have the correct adaptor in the box already.

The problem can be overcome by buying a remote controlled mains adaptor plug. You plug the juke into the adaptor and the adaptor into the wall. You can then turn it on and off using a small remote button supplied with it.
