Flex connector that connects upper and lower panel seems to be the problem and needs a replacement,due to strong sliding up and down mechanism that might cause cut off the flex or ribbon.parts and service are available in any mobile service shop near you.
If the mobile has the history of dropping the phone,this can be fix by inserting the flex properly and fit,this may lose contact during the incident.you can fix it alone by unscrewing 4 screw at the upper back panel,lift up the cover,remove side buttons then lift up the main board and check the slot and clips which the flex connector is inserted. as well as doing it on upper panel.
If the mobile accidentally fell into water,just do the same way you open,Particularly on upper panel which keypad is not working,might corrosion,stained exists and need to clean the keypad membrane and the keypad interface.
