Digital Camera Problem - Shutting Off - Lens Not Retracting ?

If your digital camera shuts off sporadically or begins to malfunction, the fix could be as simple as replacing your batteries!

I was using AA rechargeable batteries when my camera starting acting up. My husband suggested that the batteries might be bad. While they were not new, they had only taken about 20 recharges over the years. I mistakenly thought they'd last for hundreds of charges despite age. As it turns out, rechargeable batteries have a shelf life.

Also, I had been storing my rechargeable batteries in the camera between uses. Remember, it is wise to remove any type of battery from the device if it will not be used for an extended period. This should help to extend the life cycle of your batteries.

Result: Upon installation of new, freshly-charged rechargeable batteries, my camera worked perfectly.

Won't come on. I have replaced batteries a

So, you have purchased 100 batteries and none of them worked! Now you have spent $15 on rechargeable ones and they didn't work either. At $.50 a battery and adding the rechargeable ones, you've spent $65 on batteries and you still "love this camera"? I think your daughter deserves something better. So do you.

My camera won't turn on, changing the batteries/cleaning the contacts hasn't helped. It was fine last night, and i can't see how it would've been knocked or damaged, i was careful!

Here are the steps for the no power problem: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

No power on camera Kodak C613 digital

use a rubber eraser to clean the ends of the batteries and the contacts in the camera. this will allow for more power to pass and might help. also make sure contacts are not bent down too far.

I just bought my camera and the batery ran out,

get rechargable batteries and a charger, you will not have that happen near as often, regular batteries do not last long at all a few pics kills them. rechargable batteries last much much longer and you just recharge them over night, pop back in.. sum other batteries don't hold a charge, may try it in something else, see if its bad

My charger is not working since morning. it was well and good last night.

What do u mean it's not working...??
Check for any loose connections...
It's a laptop charger, and u said it was workin' fine last night, then there's bound to be a loose connection......

If nothing else [like thunderstorms, voltage fluctuations, or any other harmful incidents] hasn't occured, it's connection prob....

Try using different plug-points.... Try checking the adapter if it's correctly connected or not...... If none of this works, call a comp spec.....!!

Wont turn on

My camera worked fine last night while I was taking pictures, however, I couldn't get it to power up today so that I could upload my pictures. I spent half the day recharging batteries, buying new batteries, and searching the Internet for solutions.

It turns out that I just needed to switch the batteries around. The positive and negative battery chambers are mislabeled in my camera. Duh! Works fine now.
Hope this helps someone.

My Jazz Dv179 Digital Camcorder Won't recharge

The battery in the camera is likely not a rechargable one. Check the print on the battery. Mine was not so I assume your is not as well. The maker of the camera was pretty cheap not supplying a rechargable battery, for the price they ask for the camera.
