HP photosmart 3210 - power does not come on

Hi, My all-in-one won't turn on. The power cord is not the problem. Is there a fuse inside that could have blown? Any other suggestions?

SOURCE: out of paper:

I unplugged the printer and took the back cover off and cleaned all rollers using rubbing alcohol and q-tips. I also used canned dust remover and sprayed all parts. This took care of the no paper in tray issue for me!

SOURCE: HP 3210 black ink problem

Mine failed too within the last week, nothing will print using Black. Bought the printer April 2006. HOWEVER, I HAVE FIXED IT!!!

Assuming that I had nothing to loose, I took a kids Calpol 5ml syringe and half filled it with Boot Nail Polish Remover, and injected it into the lower ink feed nozzle that protrudes when you remove the cartridge.

The syringe tightly fits the nozzle so that when pushing the plunger, a good deal of pressure is felt and you can force the fluid into the pipes/print head. Any that gets split inside the printer will evapourate near enough instantly and of course being a thinner, it dissolves ink and any bloackages.

I turned on my printer, printed a test page, and low and behold the black started working again!!! Just waiting to see how long my solution lasts me.

Good luck!
Martin

My Photosmart 3210 shows the failure code 0xc18a0206 and nothing works. I have tired to reinstall the software from HP but it did not solve the problem.

Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on.
Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges.
Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and wait for one minute.
Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges.
Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.
Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer.

Hp3210 ink system failure

Turn off the machine, unplug the power cord from the back of the machine, remove ink cartridges, wait 2 min, plug power cord back in, press on button, wait until the printer prompts you to replace the missing ink cartridges, then replace the ink cartridges. If this doesn't clear the error you may need to re-prime ink through the lines. There are instructions for doing this at www.ccl-la.com/blog/. Search for HP Photosmart and run through the "ink system failure" #1 instructions.

PRINTER IS PLUGGED IN, BUT DOESNT TURN ON?

Try a different known working outlet..If you still don't have any lights then try a different power cord. If there is still no power then the printer is bad. With all the storms we have had going on it could be a bad main board or blown caps or onboard fuses.
