Outside Fan Blades need to be replaced. Where can I get a new one

You do not need a new unit ,it can be fixed, good luck finding an honest tech

Unplug for five or ten minutes and do this. Take off the back cardboard protector and vacuum out the dust on the coils and especially the fan being careful not to bend the fan blades. Hardware stores also sell a bush for the coils. It can reach in places the dirt needs to be broken loose. Once you clean the dirt off it will run cooler. Caution, The fan blades are usually thin aluminum. Just be aware they bend easy and can be bent back into shape.

Not sure if this will help but I replaced a set of blades by lining up a used set and drilled new holes with an electric drill. They are still working after three years.

You will have to find this part is a salvage yard as it's obselete new. or you can remove the fan altogether and install an aftermarket replacement fan complete. make sue it's blowing in the correct direction if you do as they'll blow either way if you put the wires on backwards.

How outside is the fan? The blades should be a plastic type material. They should not break just because of it being outside. Go to the nearest hardware store and tell them you need some exterior fan blades. Screw them in to the metal arms that connect to the fan and make sure you have all exterior and rust proof parts (screws, fan blade arms, etc). Make sure to tighten the screws good. Then screw them into the fan motor, tightly of course. These should not break. If it continues to break after replacing the blades, then it would seem as if someone or something is breaking them. I've been an electrician for 8 years and have never heard of this happening.

The fan has an arc to the individual blades. The inside of the arc goes to the rear, and of course the outside of the arc points to the front. Imagine if the blades were cut out of a very large piece of metal tube, the arc or curve of the blades would still be visible as you look at the individual fan blades. This is the arc I was speaking of. The part of the blade that would have been the inside part of the very large piece of metal tube, the blades cut from faces the rear, and the part of the blade that was the outside of the tube faces forward.

Possible blower fan failure, Or Blower fan blades are choked with lint, so no blow.
Your gonna need to open it up. If fan blades are choked, simply clean and vacuum them. Reassemble and test run.

If fan blades are clear, (minor lint-ing will not stop it working) then it indicates fan motor is bad.
Possibly a capacitor (motor starter) rather than motor. Usually a small cylindrical object with wires attached, located in close proximity with related motor. Check for swelling, leaking. if looks OK it's likely fine.

Capacitor is cheap to replace first. Must use SAME VALUES as original.

Sounds like your compressor outside is frozen up or (locked up) the smell is outside correct? it could also be your fan also in your condensor unit outside the easiest way is to listen for fluid movement (if your freon is moving then your compressor is working and you need to lean toward a fan motor. check to see if you can move the fan blades in the compressor (outside ) if the problem is in the house then approach in the same way with the power to the unit turned off only If you cannot turn it most likely fan motor replacement is in order, and pressure sensors are not letting your condensor run. theres a few things to try hope i have helped .Honestly it probably would not hurt to let a service man look at it anyway, but this way at least you're a little wiser chris
