Ge adora problem with panel code e01

Hello the problem with the dryer is that it display an E01, which i have to assume is some error code. The dyrer will not turn of if I press the power or shutdown the breaker or disconnect dryer from outlet. The E01 still displays everytime. The dryer basically does not work at all.. its like its locked in that mode.
Is there any way to perform as master reset? I am sure there is some software in the electronics, is there a way to reset the h/w by doing some type of software reset via control panel?
thank you for your support

I had a problem with my gas dryer not staying hot and I did some searching and found out that my coils were bad so I replaced them and then when I got it all put back together I had an E01 in the display. I had to enter into the diagnostic mode ( unplug for 30 sec, plug back in then hit signal button-delay start button-signal button-delay start button. That will get you in diagnostic mode, turn
control knob to t02 this will display your error codes (E01) then hit start/clear button and that will clear your error and your dryer should return to normal mode.

What if it won't go to anything. We have tried all that and the display screen will not leave the e01 error. Any other suggestions?

E01 error message. I got all the lint out, using an air compressor but still get E01. One answer said to unblock the air filter or damper. How do you do that?

Down where the exhaust hose attaches you will have to take that off. I almost guarantee that you have a mass of lint, pencils, lighters, small animals and everything else down there. You will have to get a flashlight to see it all.

Error code e61

Identification
  • GE dryers use three-character codes that display on LCD screens. Every code starts with "E" and is followed by a two-digit number.
Power Failure
  • When your home loses power, the "E01" error flashes on the screen. Reset the dryer memory by unplugging the device, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. The error code will disappear.
Thermistor Errors
  • Errors "E02," "E03," "E04" and "E05" are thermistor errors. The thermistor, when operating properly, reads the temperature of the dryer. Errors E02 through E05 indicate the thermistor must be replaced.
Effects
  • When there is an error with the door switch and sensor, the "E60" error code will appear. An unbalanced door will produce the E60 code. Try to close the door gently and listen for the click. If the error remains, the door switch may need to be replaced.
Control Board Errors The control board sends signals from the controls to the dryer. When this fails, errors "E61," "E80" and "E81" appear. Contact GE service or install a new control board for the dryer

Dryer will not start display works, when i push the start button it just beeps and does nothing, shows a E01 code.

Hi, this is what the error code means,

E1 or E2 Thermistor Failure The dryer will not operate if the exhaust temperature drops below 18 degrees F. or exceeds 250 degrees F.

When the thermistor circuit is open (>50K ohms), the error code E1 flashes in the display.

When the thermistor circuit is shorted (<500 ohms), the error code E2 flashes in the display.

Normal thermistor resistance values:
60 degrees F. - 15.3K ohms.
70 degrees F. - 11.9K ohms.
80 degrees F. - 9.2K ohms.
Hope it helps.

E:01

Hi,

Check for the following if you get "E01" error message
1. Check for the vent hose whether it is clean which is less than two feet (to outside).

2. Check for the temperature sensor probes one in back at heating element and one in front by the lint filter for the temperature rises resistance increases on both of them and vice verse.

3. Check whether the unit has been grounded.

4. Check for the element that turns off and on during drying process.

5. When first starting and dryer is cool it will dry one load of clothes, it also seems to work for at least the first part of the cycle, until clothes began to get dry then it over heats. display shows E01 and will not run until it has set for about an hour.

Thank you!

Our dryer reads E01. I can't locate our manual so what does that mean? Thanks

E01 - lint filter dirty, exhaust air duct is blocked or too long, fault in program sequence or malfunction, the room/cabient is not adequately ventilated.
