The Pen drive might be Infected by viruses and hence they are limiting your access to the drive. Run an scan on the Pen drive and then try to open you should be able to access the files. If you don't have an anti virus program installed on the computer then i Would suggest you to install a free version of Kaspersky and run the scan and that should take care of the problem.

If the card is physically broken on the inside there is no way to retrieve the lost information off of it but if it is not you do have an option you can use recovery software to retrieve the lost data. Hello my friend, regarding on your problem the contents of your hard-drive is safe no need to worry cause the data is still there. Unless the hard-drive itself is corrupted that's the time your data will lost. Deleting or formatting won't make the data in USB drive erased permanently.
