Question about PC Laptops
I was downgrade HP dv9728cl from Visat to WinXP, many drivers are missed. Right now, i am working on the sound card. I have installed the MS UAA sp33876.exe and try several conexant HD smartaudio 221 but failed. It usually said that there is no such hardware. If I can to install the driver manully, there is no inf file in the direction: SWSEUP\SP33566, SP33571, SP33867, SP34200 or SP37858.
By the way, I can only find the models "NOAUDIO.DeviceDesc, Ripitide Audio device, Riptide Bus/Firmware downloader, Riptid Gameport Riptide Input Device" for Conexant when I try to mannually update the drivers for " sound, vedio and game controller "
Thanks a lot!
I understand that you have downgraded the operating system from Vista to XP and you are unable to install Audio drivers in your Notebook.
To isolate the issue please install following UAA drivers and Audio drivers.
Here is the weblink to install UAA drivers.
Please do not click on the link. Copy and paste it in a new Internet Explorer window.
After installing UAA drivers restart the Notebook and then install Audio drivers.
Here is the weblink to install Audio drivers.
After installing Audio drivers restart the Notebook again to get the changes effect.
I hope this will work.
