Question about BenQ FP71G 17" LCD Monitor

FP71G+ faulty buttons

Hello, I am Toobert, and my problem is :
my 17" LCD monitor is only one year old, and now the "contrast" window is appearing all the times. The contrast setting is 0 now. when i press exit, the blue window disappears for a while, then reappears. When I turned it off, i can only be turned on by pressing exit and power button alternately.......
What can I do?
Another question, did i get any warranty card when i buy FP71G+ LCD monitor? And make the full use of the 3-year warranty?

Normally Benq has a 3year warranty and no warranty card, the serial no consists of date of manufacture.Contact local service centre in your country.

Hello Nirel,

I'm assuming you're talking about the menu on the monitor itself. Is the button jammed for some reason forcing the menu to open?

My BenQ FP71G powers on and off, repeatedly, by itself no matter whether connected to computer or not. Everything else is fine. Sometimes it stays on for a minute or so, but usually for just a few...

my BenQ FP71G 17 in goes on after hundreds of times pushing on off switch and when it's on it does not go off, I have checked the on/off switch which is working oke and when the moniter is on the auto adjust message (brightness and contrast)pops up frequently and the screen adjusts itself.

just check the contrast and brightness with the buttons or if you have some experience in opening up things then just open it up and check the wiring

Contrast decreases to Zero

Had the same problem recently with a Benq FP71G+. It was still under warranty so I called customer care and they sent someone who replaced the board inside that contained all the buttons. I saw that the board was very easy to remove. He just unplugged it, and plugged in the new one. And its a very small board so probably doesn't cost much in case your monitor's warranty period has expired.

Benq FP71G+S NOt starting.

Hello
I have had this problem twice once at my school and once with my BenQ FP71G Monitor. At my school the monitor ( HP ) just stopped working and smelt like burnt popcorn.(though is think this is due to some kids chucking a soccer(football) ball at it! With my BenQ it has the same problem though i nownthink it is because of the monitor has been on for excessive hours ( 3-4 ) and just shut down because of overheating. I will see in a couple of hours if it works !
