Desk top computer has no sound at home. when at computer repair shop it works fine. Need to determine if speakers are broke or not or possibly not connected correctly onto computer.

First what kind of speaker are they, USB powered, Wall plug in power or battery operated?
Are the speakers turned on?
Is the speaker audio cable plugged into the correct port. Normally it is a GREEN 3.5mm female on the back of the computer?
Check to see that the speaker is NOT muted. If not check the volume to see what that is set at.
Are your drivers the latest for this system (shouldn't matter)
Go to the Control Panel, Devices and Printers, is your speaker listed there? If not go to the tab at the top and add device, then choose what you want to install.
Man, I hope this helps.
(What would really help us help you is if you told us what kind of system you are using, PC, Mac, Dell, Type of speakers, Logitech, Sound blaster, generic. and how they are powered. AND the OS)

1st check your PC if audio is fine with headphones or some other speakers , then check your control panel and test sounds compatibility might that you are using wrong speaker setting in the PC.
The below is the company web link to your speaker set , try this too

Same prob. My acer worked y.day and now no sound.

I completely unplugged my speakers. And uninstalled all the hardware for my speakers. Then restarted my computer. Then inserted my format disc for my speakers. Reinstalled it. Using all automatic speaker settings. And they work fine now.

Only three of our six speakers work properly

its working in 2.1ch mode now...if you have a 5.1ch sound card then your settings on your pc must be wrong. go to playing devices and check the settings in configurations. if its in stereo then change to 5.1 surround.
if you're not using a sound card then check if your motherboard can handle 5.1ch audio otherwise you'll need a sound card.

No sound, cenral and rear speakers Dell 5650 speakers

the surround sound speakers connect to the computer by way of three connectors. the system should have come with an adapter that plugs all three connectors into one green connector. if you color match that green connector into the computer you should get sound out of the central and rear speakers. not sure if the surround sound will work correctly for movies, but you should get sound
