The SMS Message Center Number is a phone number that acts as a gateway for transferring SMS messages between cellular devices. The number should be automatically set by the carrier.
To know where are these numbers stored, here is the way to locate it:
Launch the SMS application.
Access the Menu Launcher.
From the Options pulldown menu, select Preferences.
The SMS Message Center and SMS E-mail Center number should appear. If you do not see any numbers, it means your mobile service provider does not allow you to change these numbers.
Usually, you don't have to touch these numbers. If you suspect they are incorrect, contact your mobile service provider and ask them to send an Over The Air (OTA) message with the correct information in it.
