Question about Canon PowerShot A640 Digital Camera
I have a A640 Power Shot Camera and I need to know exactly how to go
into the program and turn the flash off. The camera is not set up in a way
to jut simply turn it off from the camera. I have to click on the Icon or go
to the Start. I cannot figure it out and I do not want the flash on it.
Help, help, help!
I think the power shot (A series) has the most user friendly interface! Just press up button to select auto/forced/off mode for flash. I hope this helps...

Try the same solution I just gave another with the same camera and the same request!
You can do this through your settings menu. Have you used the menu before to change settings.Your manual will have instructions for this . Just in case you do not have the manual, I will look up your manual and try to find exact instructions for you. I'll get right back to you.
Your camera operating guide is available for dowload at this address
In the advanced guide on page 18, it explains how to use your func/settings button to find the settings you need. The advanced manual will address the darkness issue as well and settings to help with that. Each camera is a little different and I just wanted to make sure that I was using terminology that fit your camera. You can download the simple or advancedcopy of your manual. You will need www.adobe.com/acrobat to read it , so if you do not have a current version. you can go to that link and download it for free first.
I hope this helps you! And Thank You for using Fix Ya!
