I have a Brother MFC 420cn and it keep saying paper jam and there is no paper jam help please

->Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.

->To clear a paper jam near the paper tray, grip the paper and pull it firmly but gently from the printer. If you find a stack of papers jammed, grab from the middle of the stack and pull.

->For a rear jam, remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out.

->Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset.

->Try printing another document

HP Officejet 8500 says "Paper

There is definitely a paper jam. It's up to you to find it. Sometimes it's a very small piece of paper. I have worked with these printers before. If it says paper jam, that means there is a paper jam. Look a little bit more closely. I garranty you 100% there is a paperjam.

My fax machine keeps saying there is a paper jam.

look on the bottom of your drum unit. there is a sensor opening that might have a tiny piece of paper in it, not allowing the sensor flag to reset. if thats not it, closely inspect behind rear door.

Canon MX300 Paper Jam

I have the same problem - every time I turn on my printer now, the alarm signal shows up with "Paper jam" but when I check for jammed paper, there is none. So I think there's something faulty with the printer. Is there any way to reset it? I've looked everywhere but can't find it.

Ther is some tiny little paper piece left in the machine! You will find it at the left hand side near the gear wheels ;-)

False Paper Jam Message

Probably a jam sensor is dirty or stuck. Look through the paper path for a stuck plastic sensor arm, or dirt or paper dust on photocell typr sensors.Paper sensors are normally located near where paper feeds, and where it exits the machine. The paper must pass over these sensors as it travels through the machine.If a scrap of paper is left on the sensors, they will report it as a jam. If you can, try manually pushing a sheet of paper through the printer, ONLY in the direction it normally feeds. This may free up a stuck sensor arm, or force out the jammed scrap.
