Loose cable connection plug

My tv's cable connection must be loose because the cable keeps going off as if there is not attena or cable hooked up.;
Can that be fixed ? as this stv has a really good picture and I am wondering if it is worth it to get it fixed.

thanks

    I have a RCA 36" TV with same problem. I thought it was the cable line but its the connector on the tv itself. How do you fix the connector on the TV ?

If the coax input on the tv is loose your never going to get a good connection because its barely recieving the signal. If the coax input on the tv is strong and does not move back and forth even a little then its probably the cable box if not hooked up to a cable box then call the cable company and they need to figure out why your not getting strong enough of a signal.

MY PICTURE IS GREAT,BUT NO SOUND. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT?

Make sure TV is not muted.Make sure the TV is not set to SAP (secondary audio protocol)Make sure TV input is correct (someone may have accidentally pressed the "aux" input button or similar causing the TV to use an input with no sound going to it)Make sure there is not a pair of headphones connected to the TV audio out jack on the side or front of your TV.Check all of the cables that are connected into the back of your TV. (it is possible the TV was moved slightly and a cable has become disconnected or loose)If you have a receiver or surround sound connected to your TV, turn it on and see if you get sound coming from the external speakers.Turn off the TV, cable box, and anything else connected to the TV. Sometimes turning everything off and then back on can fix the problem.If using an "S" video cable into an input on the back of your TV, these cables carry no sound, just video, so make sure you connect an audio cable too.Hook up an external device to the "TV audio out" input. This will be the test to see if it is a TV circuit board malfunction or the speakers are faulty in your TV.If you are connected to a satellite box, use the included remote and go into the "menu". Check to make sure sound settings are set correctly.

Dvd is playing movies in black and white

Hi
use red/white/Yellow cables to connect to a loose hard diskon which I keep films, TV-serials and talking books. The colour is fine.

But I connect the DVD to the TV with a scart cable.

Hope you get your colour

Can not get audio from tv to receiver

You may need to assign the optical audio input to the selected source. Also check to see if the input mode for the selected source on the receiver is set to Auto or Digital.

Sound is ridiculously low

if it is a stereo tv, there should be rca jacks on the back of the tv [red,white yellow] try connecting the rca outputs to a stereo system and see if the volume is any different.there might be a loose connection to the tv speakers inside.if you have a cable box hooked up to your tv, check the connections in back. you can also try bypassing the cable box by connecting the cable wire directly into the tv to see if it's the tv. if it is the cable box try unplugging it for a minute then hook it up again.i had the same problem with my cable box. hooking it up to a stereo system sounds like a pain, but at least you will have sound.
good luck
