Pioneer GEX-P10HD tuner connected to AVIC-F90BT stopped working. AV sources show HD Radio but when selected that last station listened to is displayed with no sound. I'm unable to change stations or make any changes to the HD settings. Normal AM/FM radio works perfectly. Strangely, the HD radio stopped working soon after reactivating MSN Direct.

SOURCE: AVIC-N2 dies after year and a half

The problem with the screen coming out, buttons not working, screen not showing anything..etc. all have to do with the flex cable. Pioneer does repair it for free if it hasn't been sent in yet, but other than that its a $200 fix. I repair many of these every week and pioneer quit selling the part. I have 1 guy that I get them from but they are about triple the normal cost.

SOURCE: Pioneer AVIC-D1 Touchscreen Wont Work

Pioneer has a repair service center in California. Look up warrenty and service repair on their site. With a problem that detailed it realy cant be narrowed down to one thing. The good thing is you have enough wrong that you actualy benifit from their flat rate fee's for repair.

Me on the other end ended up paying $200 for them to replace a fuse. :( So yeah look up the repair centers number, give them a call and they will tell you what you need to do. The unit is repairable.

When i turn my car on the my avic-f90bt pioneer goes on but after about 20 seconds shuts right off again and continues doing the same thing over and over again

Check your wiring. Sounds like you've got a bad ground, or missed a 12v source somewhere. Remember - There is a 12v constant that keeps your radio constantly tied in (so your clock stays correct, etc) and a 12v Ignition/ACC which tells your radio when you've turned the car ON or in ACC mode (which turns the radio on).
If you've mixed the two up, you'd probably get the results you're getting.

What is the wiring diagram for a pioneer deh-p5100ub headnit ? i need the remote wires color.

Hello mrr1811,

Here's a link to the manual at Crutchfield. The remote wire is blue/white.

In addition to having an excellent database of PDF manuals, and online support services, Crutchfield is a great source for all of your home/car audio/video equipment.

If you are a first-time purchaser at Crutchfield you can get a $20 discount off a $200 order if you use a "friend referral code" such as mine, which is: p7sdj-hrx8q-9800g, plus free shipping. Oh!, I get a $20 merchandise credit too.

Hope this helps.

Lagging of AVIC f90bt

This might help; I'm no tech expert- I don't know if you already have it or not, but the new 2.0 download solves some of the problems related to freezing and booting up.

Xm radio

This is from the Pioneer Electronics Website; Touch the source icon and then touch ?AUX? to select AUX as the source. When the source icon is not displayed, you can display it by touching the screen. If the auxiliary setting is turned ?OFF?, ?AUX? cannot be selected. I would assume you just need to disable the AUX button. Best of Luck.
