I have a 1995 cadillac sedan deville and I have replaced the condensor, the orfice tube,the commpressor and the dryer and one of the a/c lines.There is no leak in the system, however I cannot get the commpressor to come on and it is full of freon and the gasses that are required.my dashboared is reading correctly as far as i no.It is allowing me to turn the system on but the commpressor want come on.Is there a code or something in the computer system that is required to get the commpressor to opperate?

the A/C expansion valve (orfice) is right next to the evaporator
in fact that is what causes the Freon to change from liquid to gas.
and must be there.
the Canister, (the receiver /dryer ) is usually near the condensor. end .
you can see the line clear, open hood, see the 2 compressor lines
the 2 fire wall line(hoses/pipes)
see the 2 condensor lines.
the dryer is on the line to the condensor. just follow it, and bingo. thar she be....
Freon is allways added to the low-side service port. The service manual does not een mention where the service ports are on your vehicle. The service manual assumes that this is being done by a trained technician who knows how to find the ports. For help in finding your service ports, go to http://acprocold.com/ There you will find instructional videos and you may also find your vehice in their database with pictures of where your service ports are located
The orifice tube located between the front grill and the a/c condensor in the upper a/c line.You will need to pull the grill off to get to the orifice. ----------Thanks.Helpmech.
I would suggest leak testing it you can take hose with clamps to the outlet and put a psi gauge on it then hook a compressor to the other end with a hose with clamps. This will show you if you have any obvious leaks you dont need alot 10psi and hold as long as you would like atleast a min you can also spray it with soap bubles to be sure. the condenser if its not leaking would be fine with a flush.
