Broken Keyboard Hi, The spacebar on my Asus Z3300 has broken off beyond repair and I would like to purchase a replacement keyboard. Problem is: I can't find a replacement anywhere. I've called all the Asus dealers in my area, checked ebay, and tried to search other websites with no luck. Any suggestions on where I can find one would be so appreciated!

Why does my delete key act like a spacebar?

There are a couple options:
1. Your keyboard is broken, you need to replace it.
2. Try unplugging / replugging it un and or restarting your computer, that may fix the issue.
3. Your keyboard layout might have changed. If you are using a Windows computer, you can press CTRL + SHIFT to switch between layouts. Or you can go to Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Change Keyboards or other input methods. From here, you can change your keyboard layout back to use.

Why does the space bar only have a centre touch point

The reason for this happening is that the metal bar under your spacebar is not properly attached. It's time consuming to properly fix it, but it's an easy fix at that.

All you need to do is remove your spacebar and metal bar (shaped somewhat like a tall C, if held sideways). On the bottom of the spacebar will be approximately 2-3 small clips in which the metal bar will snap into. Once snapped into place, you will want to look at the area where the spacebar goes. There should be two small clips at each end. With the metal bar clipped into the spacebar, you want to place the "ends" of the metal bar under the clips on the keyboard and very carefully place the spacebar into the hole on the keyboard and snap it into place. Now test it out and it should work fine. If not, it's likely that the metal bar came out from under the keyboard clips. The annoying part is snapping the spacebar into place without having the metal piece come out from under those clips, so you may need to perform this task a few times.

Can I replace a G50V US keyboard with a UK keyboard

Hi Alan
this should be possible, you will need to change the language in the control panel for all of the symbols to be in the correct places. Hope this helps.

Keyboard spacebar miskeys

You'll need to find the service manual and take the laptop apart to inspect the keyboard (or take it to a technician who can). Sounds like the hinges that hold the spacebar have broken or are loose

HEWLETT-PACKARD Probook 4530S keyboard

Hi There,
You've got yourself a broken keyboard. More than likely the connection from keyboard>mainboard is worn or broken, resulting in failure during use. The easiest way to solve this would be to purchase a new keyboard and replace it - http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/908032/211153434-513256609/laptop-keyboard-for-HP-Probook-4530S-4730s-US-keyboard-NSK-CC0SV-9Z-N6MSV-001-638179-001.html

You also have the option of using a USB keyboard.

Left side of space bar on Dell XPS M1330 difficult to use

I had the exact same problem and contacted Dell support. They sent a tech to swap out just the keyboard. I have a feeling these keyboards are not of the highest quality as I do have some issues with the Ctrl key now. But it's much less annoying than the broken spacebar.

Keyboard J, U, and spacebar not working

The keyboard may need cleaning or is broken.
To clean it, you could get a can of canned air, tip the laptop on it's side or upside down (carefully!) and blow out under the keys using small shots of air.

If that doesn't do it, you can try hooking up a regular PC keyboard using a regular PS/2 Keyboard or a USB keyboard and see if that will work for you.

You may be able to find a replacement keyboard online, but they can be tricky to replace.
