Fill Water tank - Ventilate

Thank you for helping me with the Algae problem. I took care of that, but in the process, I started the machine without the water tank. The machine ran out of water, and displayed "ventilate." I added water to the tank (with a new filter on it), and the machine now says "fill water tank," despite the tank being full. I turned it off, and unplugged it, but nothing works.

Thank you again,

Mike

HI, We had the fill watertank error and faulty magnet that did not float up. We fixed it by removing the rubber top and then removing the "floating" magnet. It was waterlogged and wepried open the top, took the disintegrated Styrofoam out (this is what makes it float), dried the magnet and inside and then cut out a new piece of styrofoam and glued the top back with crazy glue. Put it back in place and popped the rubber top back in - It worked :) Had renewed bouyancy. I can't imagine why Saeco does not have a better buoyancy material and a better seal.

When I fill the water tank, the machine still tells me to fill it. So I have to use a magnet.

Hi Mike,

Make sure the magnet flow up, if it flow up and you still get fill water tank then you have to replace the magnet.

If you get ventilate all time, try to remove the filter and try again.

No water comes out on ventilate. At first, the water was coming out very slowly, in drips. The doser or grind were not the problem, because even when I switched to Hot Water, it was still dripping. ...

Hi
It should take about 45 minutes to an hour to properly descale the machine. If it only took a couple of minutes you really didn't descale your machine. If you used the powder it has to disolve completly before descaling. The best way to descale is with the descaler in the tank. Turn on the machine and run about 8 ozs of water-descaler through the wand and then turn off the machine. Wait 10 minutes and repeatthe last procedure. Do this until the tank is empty. When done with the descaler, rinse out the tank and put fresh water in the tank and run the whole tank through the wand. Then fill the tank and your ready to go.

Machine says ventilate

When it says to ventilate, it is asking you to prime the pump. Put a cup under the panarello wand ( the steamer/frother) to catch the discharged water and press the hot water button (upper left button on my machine). Wait until air stops coming out with the water, usually 3-5 ounces, and then press the hot water button again.

You machine is now ventilated (primed) and should be ready to go.

Algae in water tank?

Hi,

Try to clean it with soap, if you are careful you can bend in the edge and take it off.

Use some glue on it when you put it back.

Fill Water Tank

When we got ours, i took the back off and taped the magnet to the receiver. this ensures that the message vever appears, it is a very poor set up anyway for waht is an excellent machine. We are careful to ensure that we do not run out of water and this has only happened twice in 4 years - ventilate and your away again.
