Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

How can I find a Bluetooth Passcode?

Bluetooth is a quick and easy way to wirelessly connect two electronic devices. Bluetooth is commonly used for mobile phones and PDAs to hands-free devices like headsets and hands free connection, but can also be used to connect these devices to computers and MP3 players. Two Bluetooth devices, you need the password, or "pairing code" to find the equipment to connect. Finding it is generally very...

1. Look on the back of your headset or speakerphone Bluetooth device password. Normally the pairing code is printed on label headphones which are then placed at the bottom of the accessory.

2. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your phone with the password to your cell phone to find. The Bluetooth menu of your phone is usually located under the "Settings" menu. On the Settings menu, there should be an option to "Get code" or something similar, allowing you to get the code for your phone to find.

3. Go to the Settings menu of your computer to find the Bluetooth passcode. Some laptops will randomly generate a new password for your Bluetooth every time you want to link them to a new device. In this case, the configuration menu you are looking for is something like "pairing Generate a new code."

4. Check the manual for your Bluetooth if you cannot find access to the device or on your menu. Many manufacturers have pressed for access devices in your manual. If you still cannot find the password, try all zeros.

5. Look at online forums for the password to your phone if you still have trouble finding it. A Google search like "Nokia N98 Bluetooth pairing code." This research will typically take you to a forum or help page that the link code for your device will.

remote speakers don't work

Dear User,

Are you referring to playing music from another device (mobile phone) into the speakers of your laptop or vice versa?

Is yes then you must first switch on the Bluetooth on your laptop as well as mobile, if playing from phone you send to use the option play via Bluetooth in the phone, simultaneously accept the pop up options as yes on the PC to enable the wireless play.

If playing from PC to wireless speakers of mobile then right click on the on the bluetooth icon near the system date, select quick connect>> hand free audio/stereo audio/audio gateway as applicable>> find devices in range and select to play, also simultaneously accept any notifications if displayed on the phone.
