Question about Phones
We have an older mitel phone system for our hotel. It has a superconsole 1000 at the front desk. The console shows that one of the extensions is "LOCKED" We have tried clearing it from the console but cannot figure out how to do it. The result is that our guest in the room with that extension cannot make or receive calls. We have consulted the console manual and it does nto say how to fix the problem.
Any ideas on how to clear it?
We have the same problem at our hotel.
You can't fix it at the console, you need to go to the room and unplug the guest's phone from the wall for 10 seconds... reconnect and it is fixed.

Ok, I have had this problem at two different hotels now. All it turns out to be at both of them is that the phone (or one of the phones, if you have multiple phones in the room) was bad. Both occasions we switched out a phone and the system started working correctly again with out the 'LOCKED' code showing. I hope this has helped you and any future people looking for help.

Occasionally, I experience this probem at my hotel as well. I discovered that when a phone is left off the hook too long, the console shows an alarm. If the alarm is cleared and the phone is not returned to the reciever, the extension is held in the Line Card and shows as "locked" on the console. This is to alert the attendant that a problem still exists.

NORMALLY ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HIT FUNCTION AND ON THE SCREEN IT WILL GIVE YOU A DAY SERVICE CHOICE. HIT THE FUNCTION KEY THAT CORRESPONDS TO IT.
