My Samsung X120 laptop screen has started to show a white strip about 3.5 inches/9 cm wide just to the right of midscreen, running the full height. when logged on the normal icons show either side, but those that should be where the strip is do not show. However, they do work-for example logginh on to my desktop. the stripe comes on as soon as the screen /laptop is booted( so not an operating system problem) and does not show when I attach a monitor. I deduce that the problem is not the laptop but either the cable to the screen, or the screen itself. How do I tell which it is? I have found sites selling replacement screens, but not cables. Are they available if needed?

Samsung has introduced its new notebook(A1185) at the IFA 2009 in Berlin, the latter the most important event in the world for consumer electronics industry . The names of the new Samsung notebooks(Sony VGP-BPS8A) belonging to the series X, X120 , X420 and X520 . All computers are able to guarantee a good time ( about nine hours) and good portability.
From the images collected by the presentation computers feature a beautifully designed and elegant, with the finishing touches. The colors are white pearl , black pearl and titanium . All three new models are based on Intel CULV .
The new series of notebook(Pavilion DV2000 battery) Samsung ranks among the lightest . The Samsung X120 is a 11.6- inch laptop weighs 1.3 kg , the X420 has a 14 inch display and weighs 1.8 kg , while the X520 is a 15.6 inches and weighs 2kg . The display line X are 16:9 .
Regarding connectivity, the Samsung X have nothing to envy of the competition. They are equipped with HDMI ports , wireless, webcam , Bluetooth , 3 USB ports.
The price of Samsung X120 , X420 , X520 , respectively, is 599 euros , 649 euros , 689 euros and will be available on the Italian market by the end of October .
