Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

My Officejet 6310xi All-in-one keeps going to power reset also. I went to hp.com and followed the recommended troubleshooting steps there. I also used the directions to reset the printer to factory settings and did the steps for power supply problems...no joy...

    Reset power is and all lights are flashing. The HP website was not helpful at all. Any suggestions?

Hi. I just got off of the phone with an HP case manager. I was ready for a refund, but he helped me and now my printer is working fine. The key is to have your Officejet 6310 plugged directly into a wall socket. The variations of power through a surge protector often cause a power shortage to the unit. The 6310 needs the 110 volts to operate. Surge protectors will sometimes rob the unit of this power. Follow these steps:
1. Unplug the power cable & ethernet/usb cable from the unit (stand alone mode). Let it sit for a minute.
2. Plug the power cable directly into a wall socket. Then plug the power cable into the 6310.
3. After it powers up, push the "Setup" button.
4. Right arrow to "2.Print Report."
5. Press "OK" button.
6. Right arrow to "4.Self-Test Report."
7. Press "OK" button.
A page should print showing alignment and color settings. Now you're back in business!

Make sure that the printer power cord is directly plug to the power wall outlet.this printer needs alot of power to be able to function/work perfectly.try to observe/touch the power module if its warmth after plugging it from the power source after 1min. if the module temparature does not change replaced the power module....

This could possibly be Hardware issue.

Solution

Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the issue.
Step one: Perform a semifull reset

1. Press the Power button to turn off the HP product.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the HP product.
4. Wait for 20 seconds.
5. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
6. Press and hold # and 6 while plugging the power cord back into the HP product.
7. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
8. Follow the instructions that display on the HP product to select the settings.

Step two:

1. On the product control panel display, touch the Setup icon, and then touch Tools .
2. Touch Clean Printhead .

If these steps resolved the issue , there is no need to continue troubleshooting.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, Call HP support since your printer is in warranty as you said its only 7 months you purchased the printer

#9 will actually delete the firmware on your printer from the sounds of it you unfortunately fried the hardware
try doing a #6 but never do a#9

1. Please make sure that the power adapter is working properly. Also connect the unit to a different power outlet and verify.

If the issue persists, please perform the following steps:

Step 1: Power Reset:

1. Disconnect the unit from the computer. Verify that the unit is switched ‘on’. Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit.

2. Wait 30 seconds.


3. Plug-in only the ‘power cord’.

4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.

5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.

If the issue persists, perform the following steps:


1. Take the cartridges out of the unit. Unplug the power cord from the unit.

2. Press and hold # and 3 buttons together while plugging in the power cord back to the unit.

3. Turn on the unit and insert the cartridges.

This will solve the problem...

Can I print via my wireless network with HP OfficeJet 6310xi?


Nothing helps. Print servers are capable of connecting a multifunction printer for printing capabilities only. For scanning, you have to connect directly to the Computer or by a Multifunction printer with wireless capabilities.

HP Officejet 5610 stopped printing


Hi,
turn the printer on and unplug the power cable from the back of the printer without turning the power off
press and hold :
OK and CANCEL, while keeping them on hold put the power cable back in ... it ll do a full NVRAM reset on it .. then it ll prompt u for the language and country follow the steps it ll be resolved ...

Error - carriage jam message


SolutionStep one: Perform a power reset and connect the printer directly into the electrical outlet Remove all the paper loaded in the main input tray.
Make sure that the product is turned off. 
Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the product.
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and wait 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord directly into the electrical outlet and check for the following.
Make sure that the power cord used is the one provided with the product.
If a computer is connected to the product, make sure that the computer is connected to a grounded (three-prong) wall outlet.
Make sure that the power cord is firmly connected to both the product and the power supply.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
Press the power button ( ) to turn on the product.
Reconnect the USB cable to the back of the product.
If the issue is resolved, proceed to Step six: Print a self-test page.
If the issue continues, proceed to the next step.
