Hi I followed your instruction to remove flex cable thankyou.
However I noticed that the flex cable has camera attached but the new one in the picture on ebay looks like it does not have camera attached, do I have to remove the camera from the old flex please?

If you buy one without camera then yes you do have to take it off the old one and put it on the new one. My best thing to do with this one is to just buy a flex with camera already on the new cable. The camera has very small parts and it is very delicate if you are not sure how to take them and move them to the new one. It is not that much more to just buy with camera and you don't have to worry about it working if it is a fully functional flex cable new. I hope this helps if you need more help let me know and I will do my best to walk you through. If you want to try to take the camera off and put it on the new one I can walk you through but I cannot guarenteed on your end it will work. Like I said very fragile and delicate. Good luck!!

IN SONY HANDY CAM HDD XR150 - LCD SCREEN THE SOME COLOR LINES ARE DISPLAYING INSTEAD OF PICTURE . THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AFTER REMOVING THE HANDY CAM FROM THE TV SET AS PLACED IT OVER 30MIN.

You need a new sony display flex cable installed in your camera.. it is a rather simple procedure.. dont let anyone tell you it is going to cost 300-500.00 to fix. the cable or flex that makes the display viewable is called a LCD display Flex. If you don't get any image on your display, the image has lines, display has no backlight or anything like that, replacing this flex cable should fix the problem.
you can buy the flex cable on ebay for less than 30.00 and the fix is rather simple.. the display has the flex cable on the back side and there are 3 screws that holds the display on the camera body. when you take them out of the camera using a PH00 small screw driver, you can then take the flex cable out of the display and easily replace.. it doesnt take rocket science to take these out and replace them.. good luck.. remember... you can buy the flex cable that makes the display viewable and then when it is replaced you will then be back in business with your camera.. good day....David...Mt Holly, NC

Please follow this steps :

* check the simcard or try a new one for a test.

* remove camera by lifting up the flex connector
* remove the earpiece (white socket)
* remove the flex connector below connected on the keypad board.lift up the keypad board
* try to clean the flex connector
* as well as the keypad board were the simcard socket is attached.this is may due to a corrosion.

if everything is clean, assemble the phone and test if the simcard will be recognized.

Retrieving data, broken screen

hi
The Phone needs a new Keypad flex and most likely a left hinge pin. When the phone is open, the cable runs through the left side of the hinge. It is very common for the hinge pin to become chipped and put a small cut in the Flex Cable.
You can get the parts on ebay. search for motorola v3 keypad flex, and motorola v3 hinge, or knuckle.

thankyou.

Sony Ericsson W300i Removing the Housing

The housing is difficult to do. You have to be careful to not rip the flex cable that connects the two pieces. Once you remove the orange button on the side you will see a blue circular type pin. You must push that in all the way while gradually pulling your phone apart. Also at the same time you want to watch to make sure the flex cable don't snag itself of the folding parts. It slides in one way and you must be careful to not rip it. It is kind of in an S shape and slides in very delicately. once you get this part then the rest is easy to do. I hope this helps some and good luck. And yes I do repair these and replace all the parts on these phones so I know how difficult it can be for the first time. If you have anymore questions or if you want me to elaborate more on this just let me know.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Blank screen

You can try the following: Trying pressing the * + # + Power at the same time - if it works the screen will show some letters and numbers - then you can try the following: 1) Flash the unit; 2) You or someone should check the flex cable which attaches the LCD to the main RF board; 3) Display and flex need to be changed (Expensive)

Flex cable

It's fairly simple to replace a flex cable if that's the culprit. This is a flex cable: http://cnn.cn/shop/motorola-razr-keyboard-flex-cable-p-300.html It's got adhesive on it so if you plan on repairing yours, you need to peal your old one off. That's really no big deal, the thing you REALLY need to worry about is damaging your keypad when removing it from your housing. You might want to order a new one just incase for that very reason. Be aware that unlike the V3c's flex cable which is a separate cable that connects to the main board to go up to the upper part of the phone, the V3's keyboard flex has its cable attached, which means you must open the top portion of your phone as well. Opening the bottom part of the phone is simple. Opening the top part is where things get slightly tricky, if you're not careful you could really damage your phone.
