SOURCE: jvc power cinema NE for everio digital video camera, no sound on dvds??

Hi,

I had a similar problem, I could play videos on my PC but they had no sounds.
I found a solution

In theory *.Mod Files contains mpeg format for the video and AC3 format for the sound.

In my case I was missing the codec fot AC3 format.

I downloaded one here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/ac3_filter.htm

And it worked

Tring to connect my samsung tv to my samsung home cinema and having problems

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your
samsung home cinema receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
samsung home cinema RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection..
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
samsung home cinema Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

I have an LG TV with an LG HOME CINEMA SYSTEM problem is: watch dvd/blue ray - video fine sound fine (through speakers) watch tv / sky -- video fine sound None throughspeakers on...

Hello,
There are two things that I can suggest.
1-Test your optical cables to make sure they a good on a known working source because they are very fragile and break very easily.
2-Try to eliminate the use of optical output from tv to receiver. There may be a problem from the HDMI to optical conversion at the tv. Instead, try running the audio directly from the source to the receiver, and let the tv deal with video input only.
Hope this helps,
Good Luck.

I dont have pip is there any software i can buy

Yes there are many sorts, you can get USB, or Internal cards, I myself have a Pixelview PlayTV Hybrid, that allows me to view, HD DVBT & Normal TV as well. In fact I use two cards, another Pixelview internal BT878, chipset. I run them boyh, so I can work on one screen, and have HD TV, & Normal TV PIP'ed on my other monitor, it all works great. Dscaler is a wonderful software to use.. But the software that comes with the cards works well too. One Must be set to RGB & the other to Overlay, though to allow both to work at once. Download Dscaler below, it plays DVD;s great as well, simply the best out there. deinterlace.sourceforge.net/

No picture on TV through Sky, Home Cinema is on but have sound.

do have sound and picture at same time you will need a fibre optical cable, you connect that from your cinema system to your tv. then you need to set your cinema system to digital input or fibre optic or check by pressing aux on your remote and see which is the right one. i am not familier with panasonic as i have samasung.

i have the same problem. haven't tried the fix yet, but someone recommend connecting the two pronged power cord to an adapter that switches it to a 3 pronged (adds the ground prong). i guess the adapters are less than a dollar and can be bought at most places.

If you have a later Philips home cinema model: HTS3100, 3300, 3500, 3154, 3357, 6510 & others, the sound from the TV will go through the existing scart connection.

Just select TV on the home cinema remote control.

For any other models, use a scart - twin phono lead (red & white), from the TV to one of the inputs into the home cinema.

Scarts 1 & 2 on the TV will have different results. Try both.
