My control for the wii will bring up the menu but the courser that you use to make selections does not appear.

Make sure the sensor bar is correctly plugged into the Wii, and that the Wii Remote has a clear path to the sensor bar. Move the Wii Remote around, as the positioning of the sensor bar may not be precise. If you are sure everything is how it should be, it may be that your sensor bar is damaged and/or broken. You may have to buy a new one.

Add 2nd wii control

go to "home". Press connection settings and hit reconnect. Then press 1 and 2 on the remote. Before that though, (if you have not done so) press the red button in the battery slot in te wii remote the same time as you press the red button near the SD slot. If you didn't understand, tell me!

Wii remote keeps losing communication with the main unit

It sounds like your sensor bar is going out. I have heard from numerous people that they go bad and start acting very sporadic( somedays they work and somedays they don't) Also check to make sure your bar is sitting level on your T.V. and not pointing up or down. If it is the slightest bit off then the bar can't "see" the remotes all the time.

Wii remote will not follow command.

It's problem a radio interference, since the wii controller uses radio frequences to contact the device, try to resync the wii controller.

1. Turn the Wii console on and wait until the "Health & Safety" screen appears (don't press A).

2. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console, just below the disc drive, and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. This will clear all synced Wii Remotes from the console.

3. Resync the Wii Remote by removing the battery cover and pressing the red "SYNC" button. Do this for all Wii Remotes you wish to use, and test for proper response.

4. If the steps above do not work, remove the batteries of the Wii Remote and leave them out for at least 2 or 3 minutes. Reinsert the batteries and sync the Wii Remote again. Test for proper response.
If after removing the batteries for several minutes, and resyncing the Wii Remote, your still unable to get the Wii Remotes to work, try syncing another Wii Remote if available.

* If another Wii Remote works, then your previous Wii Remote will need to be repaired.

Troble with my wii control

Take out the batteries, replace, and then hit the synch button on both the console and next to the batteries in the remote. There's no reason it shouldn't work after you've done this.

Wii freezing up

Hi Ashley,

It sounds like the accelerometer in your Wii Remote is not working properly.

The "point-and-click" stuff like the Wii Menu use the WIi Remote's camera (which is behind the dark part on the front of the Wii Remote). The motion-sensing for swinging, tilting and other motion uses the accelerometer in the Wii Remote.

Wrap your Wii Remote in a towel and give it a whack against your knee (not so hard as to injure your knee) - sometimes the accelerometer part gets "stuck" and needs to be jarred out of position.

If that still doesn't work, then go to Nintendo.com, click Support, and go to the Wii Troubleshooting section for more options.
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/wiiremote.jsp

Also, you don't have to use the same remote as #1. The first remote that is activated will become #1.

You can also push the Home button on the Wii Remote, then point to the bottom (where the battery levels are shown), press A, then click on Reconnect. It will tell you to press the 1 and 2 buttons on each remote in the order you want them to appear. Press the 1 and 2 buttons on the remote you want to be #1, wait for the remote to sync (the Wii will make a happy nosie), then do the same for the remote you want to be #2, etc.

Press and hold the sync button on the Nintendo Wii remote. While holding the sync button, go over to the Nintendo Wii, and and press and hold the sync button. Wait for a few seconds, and then test the Nintendo Wii remote.
