Blankscreen during start-up was intermittently to occur..after several times it occur..I turn it off and wait for few hour and turn it ON again..Start-up / Boot-up resume into normal but sometimes still the same with blankscreen. Also, there is a control on the mouse while the screen goes blank during boot-up / start-up..I already try those recommendation on the forum for this problem like cleaning the start-up menu using MS config,Remove battery pack and press the power button for 5 and re-install it again, Re-seating the RAM (HP recommendation) and using the notepad...all of these seem no effect...Is there any applicable solution for this???

Got a HP DV2000 boot then freezes

It seems that the problem is with the display chipset ( assuming its with Nvidia chipset model).
If you are not a technical person, take out the mother board and do a reflow of the chipset with a blower or else take it to a qualified service person or authorised service center.

My PC has a blue screen that reads VOLUME_MOUNTABLE_BOOT I followed instructions on blue screen to fix problem but of course it still doen't work any Ideas? Dell Dimensions 5150

Sometimes those kind of problems are related to usb devices (any kind of usb devices, even printers) try to disconnect any usb and test it.
If not try running the chkdsk command, you will need to boot using a windows installation cd and select repair instead of install after booting from cd.

Try this:

Boot the system with your Windows XP installation disk. When the boot options window appears select R for recovery console. Once you have logged into the DOS session type: fixmbr and hit the enter or return key and select "y" for yes you want to do this. Type: fixboot and hit the return key again, hit "y" for yes.
