For some reason my laptop started screwing up so put an xp disk in and installed it on top of vista......i wanted to get my files out bc alt f10 would delete everything...now alt f10 wont work. how do i get pqservice off of harddisk onto cdrom?
If you have installed vista and change it to xp, you should first delete or reformat your current OS (Operating System) which I believe is the ur vista.
-insert your xp disk then press F8
-click format or delete files ( i don't know the exact message that will appear on the screen)
-then install windows XP (just follow the instruction that you will see on the screen)

You can use the above links to Download and Install the Driver for LAN and WLAN.
If in case the Driver is not getting installed, please use the Universal Extractor to Extract the Driver And Install. I suggest you to install the Driver after Disabling all the Firewalls and Anti Virus application.
have or can you get a win 95/98 disk...
these disks utilize the dos enviroment...
when you boot with them you can easily get in the dos platform (c://prompt)
once there type in fdisk and follow instructions.
you can also do this from usb ..you need to make usb bootable first.
you may be able to use xp disk and choose repair which will take you to the dos prompt.
you may be able to format hd with vista disk and before it start to install files interrupt it(remove disk)
not advisable though.
if you want program to create bootable usb let me know.
I'll need youre email address to send via attachment.
Go check this out, maybe it will help. It shouldn't matter what model you have, it should work (your link also). Be sure to read thru them carefully and if you think it's to much to handle then you might need a qualified technician to perform this operation. If you don't want to go thru all this then I'd suggest reinstalling the OS with a XP or Vista disk, this would 728735be easier and if something happened to the OS again, then you have a disk to reinstall in.
reboot you machine after cancelling all the installation set up details
Follow the instructions that follow as if you are installing Xp afresh (install, Accept terms,) then choose drive to install XP on (the one with current XP or else others) press delete (D) and follow the instruction to accept
After deleting choose Install XP and chose to format your disk the way you want Fast/Slow to FAT/NTFS
Please note formatting is deleting everything (EVERYTHING) on that disk preparing to store new information as a blank HDD i.e. you will lose everything on the disk viruses, bad stuff and all your valuable data on it
