Hello,
My Sunbeam micorwave oven will no longer turn on. I have checked the fuse with an ohmetter and the connectivity and everything seems to be ok.
My question, How can I check whether the electronic board that ensures the time control and heat control is working properly?
Thanks.

Warning!
To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your
appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the
connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any
troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some
components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your
appliance.
The description you provide indicates the magnetron has failed, "heats food" and blown the main fuse in the microwave oven, since the unit is 10 years old it is much cheaper to replace with a new one rather than have it repaired.
Hello there: If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these:FusesDoor switchFusesUsually,
when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse
(thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When
it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician
replace it.Door switchIf
the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release
button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the
oven can't work.
You have not mentioned the model and make of the oven. You can check if
there is a fuse between the highvoltage winding of the transformer
andthe capacitor. If it is blown off replace the fuse, or you have to
replace the magnetron.
The loud pop was almost certainly the high voltage diode going bad.
To find parts, I suggest you call the number on your owner's manual or check with the store where you bought it.
Sunbeam may not make this part available, so be prepared. Maybe they have authorized servicers in your area. Ask them about that.
Good luck.
