Okay, here's a new one for you. I recently posted a problem with a leak in my Saeco Magic De Luxe. A good cleaning and descaling seems to have done the trick. My problem. . . in my panic to insure a source of this great tasting coffee, I located an outstanding value on the purchase of a new Spidem Villa Black Espresso Machine that arrived today. My dilemma: now I have an old Magic De Luxe that is working well and a brand new Spidem Villa, which I expect will be of equivalent quality to the De Luxe. Now we are not sure if we should return the new one, sell or pass the old one on to someone else, or can we just store the old one so that it will be available in the event of a problem with the new. Do you know if this is an item that can store well for future use? Any recommendations?

i had a similar problem and found it was just a gasket on the boiler that wasnt sealing properly.i used JB WELD to repair mine.check all connections and/or gaskets for signs of leaks or possibly a broken gasket mating surface.
I understand you need to turn of the descaling light on you Saeco Magic De LuxeExpresso Machine. The only thing you need to do after you get done descaling the unit is to hold down the steam button for 5 seconds and the light should go out. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
I would try to reprogram the button. Push and hold the button. Keep it held down while it is grinding. Don't release the button until you have the desired amount in your cup for that button. When you do, Then release the button. See if that doesn't clear the problem.
I don't know what you mean by disarming the grinder. Unless you are talking about using the bypass.
If that is the case there is a button on the panel that has waht looks like a scoop. Push that button and put a scoop in the bypass door and then push the button for what cup size you whant.
Regarding the taste of the coffee. It may need a cleaning and service. Try googling "saeco repair" and find an authroized Saeco repair center and have a good service done on it.
