Usually it depends on how you connected to the TV/satellite box- for instance, I have mine set on channel AUX 1 since I have connected my Wii to the TV using the component cables (the red yellow and white cables) to the port AUX 1. If you've hooked it to the Dish box, then it would be whichever accessory you connected is the channel to select in the dish system, but on the channel that your dish is hooked up (it's situational!)

I cannot get my Wii to work and I have Dish. I know it should work because my daughter was able to get it turned on, but she said it happened by accident and she doesn't remember what she did. I have tried instructions all over the web but they always assume I either have only one remote or they tell me to hit a button (for example, "input") without telling me which remote the instruction applies to. I have to hit "cable" on my TV remote to get it to turn on. Nothing else will turn it on. Then the screen that comes up says to push "select" to watch TV. No buttons on either remote work until I push "select." So the TV comes on. When I hit the input button (on either remote) it does nothing. When I hit "aux" on the TV remote, the screen goes blank with "Input 2" on it but nothing else happens. And yes, I have the Wii powered on before I do any of this. Really frustrated. I'm not a stupid person but I'm feeling very stupid.

Hello my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network customer service. There is a way to have two remotes on one TV, the first thing we need to push the menu button two times to get to the system info screen on the working remote. Then there will be a number in a white box at the button of the screen, we will want to remember that number so we can put it in for the second remote. Now once we are on the SYSTEM INFO screen we will want to get the remote we want programmed to that receiver, we will hold down the SAT button on the remote until all the buttons light up on the top of the remote. We will let go and then press the number that we wrote down and press the # button. Now both remotes will change the satellite channels.
