Our panel does not display, I saw your resolution about ordering a part. Is this part easy for a computer tech to replace?

It comes with directions. It is real easy to replace. Just call 10800-835-6100 and have your serial number ready. They will ship it out.
Should take 5 minutes to replace. Yeah a computer tech is quite able.

Control panel is blank even though power is on

Hi I need to get the ip address from a xerox phaser 8550. unfortunately i cannot read the control panel display. Is there a way to get the ip address without being able to use the control panel?


Your printer needs to have the default menu item selected. It would be "Walk-Up Features". Restarting the printer and waiting for it to be ready would be the best way to be there, but you should be able to hit the back button a few times and up a few times to get to the first menu item.
Anyway, from the default menu item, press down once (highlights Information). Then OK (enters Information menu). Then down twice (highlights Information Pages). Then OK (enters Information Pages). Then OK again to print the Configuration Page.
Also, if your printer has never had its control panel display replaced, you can get a free one from Xerox, even out of warranty. Just call 877-571-7765 with the serial number of your printer.

You can call 1-800-835-6100 and they will send you a new display. There is a known problem with those on that machine.

Hi i have phaser 8560, it gives me a error 09,038,46:62248, plese who can solve me the problem.

The onlty thing I can find close to this is.
Acording to the manual its a ink loader error like your loading the wrong type of ink like the puzzles pieces arent matching and hitting the sensor flags right. Yours by the 8 is referring to the black ink. Anyway go to troubleshooting on the control panel. then to service tools. when in service tools press and hold the up arrow while still pressing the up arrow press the down arrow. the display should say hidden menus. go to diagnostic mode press enter go to funtion menu. then go to clear ISC fault and enter. ISC=ink stick count fault. I hope that helps. Just to let you know Ive had nothing but problems with third party ink and once its in the system its hard to get out so I would watch what im doing with my expensive equipment

Even if your printer's front control panel display has not gone bad yet, it could only be a matter of time.

If your printer has never had its control panel display replaced, you can get a free replacement from Xerox, even if the printer is out of warranty. Just call 877-571-7765 with the serial number of your printer.

I think this is due to a known defect from the factory for many of these panels having a bad soder weld which eventually causes issues with the panel, even if not apparent at first. That was the case I had. Just one day out of the blue my panel went blank, some days its lit with no display others the display is upside down or reading gibberish other times it seems to work fine. I tried looking for a bad soder myself but couldn't find it then later found out there was a soder issue via another post on this site and they will replace this panel free of charge.

Xerox 8550 DN display does not work and printer does not print


This model of printer has a known fault with the LCD panel.

Contact xerox in your country, who will arrange to have a replacement front panel sent out to you to install

Xerox phaser 8550 - no lcd display. tried switching off and unplugging and restrating. No success.


I called and they are sending me a new one. The number I found for this is 877-571-7765 - You will need your serial number on the insude of the front flat - pull grey handle.

Phaser 8550, scratch lines through printout


For the lines try the remove stripes and also the remove smears procedure you can run from the panel.
The Led screen is a known problem. Send Xerox an E-mail and they will replace it.
You have to pay for phone support if your not under waranty.
But they will replace the screen.

The front panel shows nothing


When our control panel went blank last month, Xerox did not offer a free replacement because our printer was out of warranty. Consequently, we ordered one from SparePartsWarehouse.com at the best price we could find - $104.87 plus shipping. The part number for our 8550dp is 848K06551, but these are the compatible part numbers for the "Xerox 8500 Control Panel & Bezel": Compatible Part Numbers: 848K06551, 101E28730, 101E28731, 802K93650, 802K93651, 848K06550, 848K06552. Power up Issues


I am suffering from the same problem and I called Xerox. The problem is your control panel and this is a known defect for this printer. My replacement os on its way. It appears that if you take off the control panel, you can find a bad soldier joint.
