Question about Sony STR-DE845 Receiver
I need to purchase 2 of these parts: 1-676-999-11 . Does anyone know where i can get them? Sony indicates that the part is no longer made by them. Certainly its out there on the Internet somewhere right? =)
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

3.2 IS the "5.1" mode for this receiver. 3.2 is indicating that you have 3 front channels and 2 rear channels. The ".1" is applied to all the speakers (LFE). If you read the manual on page 37, you'll see that "3.2" is displayed with either "Dolby Digital 3.2" or "DTS 3.2". The little icons of the speakers in the display window will show you which channels are active. The bottom line is as long as you see the blue light, it's decoding multi-channel discreet surround sound (at least 5.1).

These receivers have a common fault with the relay on the amplifier board. If you open the lid, the rear amplifier PCB is on-top in the centre. The relay is in the middle of the board. It should be easy enough if you have a multimeter to check the contacts are closing correctly, if not then replace it, the specs are printed on the side. If you are not confident then don't try it, these are powerful amplifiers with +/-60v DC rails. 120v DC can do you some damage if you get it wrong!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the part is no longer available from Sony or any of its distributors. Your best bet is to check with some local repair shops to see if they have a scrap unit around from which you can get the part.
Another posibility is to remove the part and try and locate the part using the manufacturer's part number that shouldbe stamped on the part itself. I believe that these are made by AMP.
Can you post your location as I may have one of these in my stash.

read the manual
First, it must be a self-powered subwoofer, then you've got some settings to select in the receiver.
