How can i remove front cover to clean the coil unit

Sounds like you may have gotten something wet that shouldn't have during the coil cleaning process. Power unit sounds to be working, but control board may have been damaged.

Cooling gas is missing. Call some AC service in near to fill it, ask more of them for price. Do not switch it on until you solve this to prevent higher damage.

To locate the filter: Shut unit off. Remove "bucket". You should find a "tab" at top of where bucket goes in middle front of unit. Pull down to remove tab of Filter. Clean thoroughly and dry Filter before re installation. Visually inspect the coils and condenser while filter is out ( a flashlight helps). If it looks slightly dusty or like covered in felt, then it would be wise to remove front and rear covers and give the coils and condenser a thorough cleaning.

Might be a dirty coil and condenser.
I have had a AD75UST0 WHIRLPOOL Dehumidifier for several years. If it actually still runs, I would suggest you take off covers and give the coils a good thorough cleaning. Otherwise the units are not designed to be serviceable aka - "disposable small appliance". if you do dispose of it take it to a qualified recycle organization for Freon products. Shut unit off. the best cure is to take the unit outside use your garden hose to clean the coils ..remove the front cover/ cover switches with tape ..spray coils on both sides real good to remove dirt ..let the unit dry good ..clean filter and it should work like new again..let me know ..good luck/joe/

Dismantle the light unit and remove same. Front cover 2 screws and difuser. Mark difuser for right way up. Remove screw covers to lower unit and remove four screws. Ease away unit breaking ice seal and unclip connections. Remove same. Defros with hair dryer or similar and then do the same with the removed unit. Clear away insulation from fan drain and defrost to dry condition. Replace as removed. The problem is it has to be repeated at intervals when the fan shows signs of founing. You will know by the noise. Paul.

Pull the plastic cover off of the front unit at the very bottom. This is referred to by some as the "kick plate". Upon removing the kick plate, you should see the coils (may need flashlight) and then simply using your crevice tool on your vacuum, clean them off.

Has anyone cleaned coils inside, as well as taken cover of on roof & done the same? If you remove inside filter etc, and look way up in front with a flashlight, you'll see coils that need cleaning usually. I use a shop vac with brush & long extension. Tight fit near top, but can be done, without damaging coils. Then take cover off on roof unit (with breaker shut off ) & clean both sides of rear fins, as well.

The Outdoor unit will be easy 1st diconeect power at panel, or disconnect box near unit. Remove top of unit, be careful not to damage fan blades. Spray coils (fins) with a light degreaser let is soak for 5 mins. wash out coils from inside the unit out. Spray straight on so you push the dirt out the other side.

Re assemble and start up.

Indoor coil will be accessed by removing front cover and you may have another cover to expose the inside of the coil fins. That is where you need to clean. Spray degreaser on coils and rinse off. If its gunked up then use a wire brush 1st. Carefull not to bend the fins over.

Check the drain pan at bottom of the coil to be sure it's not full of stuff. Blow out if needed.

You should be clean and ready for the season
