I went to websites to see if my camera could be fixed some one told me it would be $64.00 then someone else told me it would be $00.00. My camera has a lens error.
Do you have any tips or websites to go to get it fixed at a good price.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I don't know where in the world you are but at this time of year in Canada we freeze lenses and if we are not careful it's possible to damage the auto focus motor/mechanism because the grease become thick like tar and the little motor just can't turn it. If you didn't freeze it then it is possible a "loose Screw" by forcing it to work you are only doing more damage. My suggestion would be to get it fixed through Canon or a Canon authorized repair depot,.

Lens error restart camera- the lens is out and wont go back in, everytime i try restarting my camera it says lens error restart camera

Hi, their isnt much you can do yourself and the chance of getting it repaired is slim as knowbody will touch them as the cost of repair costs more than it would to buy another camera.

how ever you can try the following to try and fix it.
when you switch it on pull or push the lense and then switch it off and push the lense in a bit and hopefully this will free it up and get it working,
if pushing and pulling dont work try twisting it clockwise or anti clockwise when you switch it on and then off.

all you can do is try and fix it yourself as you wont find anyone who can fix it as it costs to much to have these fixed.

when you switch it on pull the lense out slightly whilst switching it on if that dont free it up push the lense in when you switch it on doing this should get it working again.

if by some chance it dont then this would mean the lense motor has failed and if this is the case you may as well sell the camera as spares because you wont find anyone who can fix it for you, even if you did find someone the cost to have the work done would cost more than the camera is worth.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

My camera won't turn on, but the lense is still out

I think you have lens problem. You must fix your lens. I find someway that someone fix their lens error. At the other camera, the warning can be " turn the power off and on again' or "lens error". One post i have take at my blog. I hope is usefull

My coolpix l18's lense will not retract. It says "lense error"

hi there, i am sorry but there is no reset button that can fix this problem. the gears on the lense have been dis lodged and needs to be reposition. the camara would have to be picked down completly for the lense to be removed and this is nothing you can do unless you know what you are doing. once re-posistioned the error code will go away and your camara will work as normal.you will need a technition and i cant do it for you because i am all the way i the caribbean (barbados to be exact) good luck and let me know if you get it repaired please.
