Question about Xerox WorkCentre Pro 416 All-In-One Laser Printer
CA1 always means that the laser unit needs replacement?

This is a call for a Xerox service rep to visit the machine.
First you need to know if it has the latest software on the machine. If it has old software, and a new laser is installed, the error code will come back again.
You will need to have the right model for this machine and the right main board to match it.
Best to place a service call and let Xerox handle it.

Pretty much yes. That message is that the Polygon mirror, is not spinning. That is the motor/mirror assembly inside the laser unit. There is a slight chance it is just sticky, but that motor failure is not uncommon at all in that product.
You can try going on google and searching a business called " the parts drop" and call, ask for Britt. There are 2 different lasr units for that machine, simply called a large and small laser unit.
